Some zoom through in days. Other take months. Mine was built in about 3 days back at the beginning of August then sat in storage until just now. It’s a roll of the dice.
Got word from Anthony at MD that my vehicle went out of storage and is now in INSPECTION status. Fingers crossed it goes well and I get my truck this month.
Question for you about the gas mileage difference. What is the elevation difference between your home and where you picked up the truck? Reason why I ask is I always get worse mileage driving from Las Vegas to Salt Lake compared to the other way back. My father-in-law was convinced that Costco...
That is the $80-$90,000 question. Why does it continue to sit for so long? Obviously they have a lot of QC backlogged to walk through and that is what’s going on but it doesn’t make me miss my truck.
I am in a very similar situation as you. I have 2 identical orders from 2 different dealers placed about 2 weeks apart. The second order started production first and then just sat on QC hold. The first order started production later and then zoomed through and is already shipped. Makes no sense...
If I understood this post correctly, the main other topic I follow is the current owners thread.

It is either people saying how much they love the truck or people with...
Official answer on why one truck is on some sort of perpetual QC hold and the other zooms through production is "don't know". Gotta love RAM and their manufacturing. Note, this has nothing to do with Anthony at MD. There is no available info as to why they are being handled differently.
Got an email response from Anthony at MD that my truck with them had been in inspection status since 8/7 (started production on 8/5). The truck I ordered from the local dealer went into production on 8/26 and is already on a train headed to Vegas with an estimated delivery of 9/20. Both were...
That’s a good question. They were both originally sold trucks but then I backed out of the one from the local dealer because the pricing I got from MD was so much cheaper. I still get email updates for both trucks so I’d guess Ram thinks it is a sold vehicle. I’d have to look it up on the...
My dealer did say the truck was done being built but was going to sit in a lot for a while for QC purposes. I just wonder why one updated on the tracker and the other didn’t. Are they both now going to sit for a month or more?
This is interesting. 2 identical trucks ordered at slightly different times through 2 different dealers.
First truck ordered earlier, went into production later but then completed earlier than the other truck. Look at the dates. Wonder what would cause one to finish and the other to be in some...
To everyone that has strong feelings about the leather seats actually not being 100% leather, I have a question for you. There has been talk about getting seat covers or actually going so far as to replace the leather and have new leather installed. Both of these options really surprise me. Seat...
I spoke with Anthony about this and he said the following.
They do their own inspection to verify everything is 100% before they will load the truck onto a trailer to be shipped and delivered to the customer. If anything happens to the truck in transit there is a separate insurance policy that...
