Removing the grill shutters wouldn't have much effect on engine temps, because that is regulated by your thermostat and electric fans. Same with transmission temps. Even with the grill shutters closed there is still airflow through the radiator.
From my experience with the corporate 9.25 limited slip axles, even if the bottle of diff fluid you pour is says it already has the additive, you still need to add more for the clutches to work properly.
You could remove the taillight and throw it in your kitchen oven on low temp for a few hours to try and dry it out. Then hit the seams with RTV to the and seal. No TSB, no recall, just replace the taillight if you are concerned the baking and sealing won't work. Is it a safety issue, sure...

Turbos aren't that complex if you understand them. The turbos on the Hurricane are smaller, which is why it's twin turbo, and get into boost quickly with little to no lag.
