Unplug the sensor. Start the truck. Turn off the truck. Plug the sensor back in and see if it reads right after starting it.

2 or 4 screws under the thin trim piece. Pop off the trim piece that goes around to get access to the screw.

They are replaceable. Give RC a call to order new ones. A live human will answer and they will ship then pretty quick.
