What are they recommending when an engine gets to 100,000 or more miles? It used to be (for me at least) that when an engine started burning a quart between oil changes, I went from a 10/40 to 20/50 Castrol until I sold it.
I used the e torque as a method of bargaining. Went to an out of town dealer for the express purpose of testing both models. Didn't really notice a major difference between the 2. Auto stop was easy to defeat as was the MDS. Found my truck at the local dealership with e torque. I'm an older guy...
I found that to be true also with 91 cornless. For those of you that would like to try it, here is link to stations in US & Canada that sell cornless gas

Exact;y why I won't get it. I wish Trifecta would start working on the Hemi. I had their system on my last truck, a 2016 GMC Canyon 3.6 V-6. In performance mode, it would outrun just about any truck out there. You flashed the ECU but you could also unflash it and it wouldn't advance the counter...
The latter. It's primary function is to provide different tuning "Maps" depending on your needs/mood. The only reason I haven't purchased one yet is that my truck is still under warranty and I can't seem to get a definitive answer if it leaves a trace of itself after it is removed should I need...
This.....I tow a 24' Jayco that is about 6,800 loaded. The dealer set it up so the trailer and truck are both dead level when using the proper chain link and hitch height; took him about one hour of various adjustments....I glad I watched what he did as there is no way I would have had the...
I don't think I would run 87 in anything unless it's non-ethanol. Been running 91 non-ethanol since new. Around here, it's a few cents cheaper than 93 corn. Been getting 18-19 in mostly backroad driving with the MDS off. I think it would do 1 or 2 mpg better if I left it functional.
I have a feeling that most of us are used to looking at a standard temp gauge which uses a needle against a scale. Those type of gauges are notoriously over-damped and barely, if ever register a change during normal driving. The digital readout gives us real-time temp changes. It's not going...
It's a truck, guys. More torque is the answer for just about everything you will need, not top end HP. If that's what you want, get a Challenger SRT or something similar. Reducing back-pressure is a ticket for reduced torque and MPG. If there was a Tri-Y header setup available, that would be the...
As my screen-name indicates, I also remember the old school days. My uncle had a early 60's Chrysler Imperial with the 426 wedge (I think). It required retorquing the heads after 500 miles!
Got the black lugnuts installed. I think they look better than the standard chrome ones. If I were to do it again, I would paint the brake hub where the studs go thru a satin black, There is a very small "halo" of silver as the McGards are a bit narrower after the cone mates with the wheel...
I'm not a chemist but it is my understanding that the 5 in 5w-20 is the minimum viscosity the oil can have. If one runs a 5w-20,30,40, etc. those oils would all start at 5w. Now, I'm not sure exactly how this happens, but it is again my understanding that the multi-viscosity oils will maintain...
I had a 2016 GMC canyon and the transmission was "unservacable" also. Some guy developed an aluminum trans pan that not only held an additional 2 qts but had a dipstick that was properly calibrated. Sold all he could make for $300. Changing the trans fluid was just like the good old days. If...
