2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I didn't know about the approach lighting thing until I read mention here. Mine doesn't work. Then my buddy that just got a new '25 also mentioned it and he said he tested his and it didn't work either .... UNTIL he tried it when it was sufficiently DARK outside. He has concluded that it just...

3.0L I6 Hurricane HO Twin Turbo Fuel Octane?

That's how I do. Every fill-up goes into Fuelly. What speed are you driving to get 22 MPG? I'm thinking it must not be the 70 on slower roads and 80 on Interstates that I'm doing. Side note: My '19 Hemi/eTorque averaged 14.1 MPG over the 71,700 miles I had it. My '21 EcoDiesel averaged...

    V-8

That is exactly the kind of thing haters say about Japanese sportbikes (aka crotch rockets). And then it turns out that pretty much any of those bikes will go 100K miles with ZERO problems. I used to have a buddy with a 1993 Honda CBR900RR. The engine was still going strong - and all original...

    V-8

Reliability? I had an '09 Hemi and then a '19 Hemi. Between them, I put on 275,000 miles. Between them, it was in the shop something like 7 or 8 times to have a cracked exhaust manifold or broken headers bolts fixed. After so many times of that on the '09, when I traded it for the '19, I...

3.0L I6 Hurricane HO Twin Turbo Fuel Octane?

I am in Morehead City now. I drove here and back 2 weeks ago and then drove here again on Sunday. That is just over 300 miles, each way, from Lexington, SC. I set my cruise control at 10 MPH over the limit. When I filled up and immediately drove here (the first time) and filled up again as soon...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I was expecting them to fold when I turned the engine off. I was surprised that they didn't until I locked it. I guess it all saves wear and tear on the mirrors folding and unfolding more than necessary...

3.0L I6 Hurricane HO Twin Turbo Fuel Octane?

I'm getting about 18 on highway trips. A buddy just got a new Laramie. He's getting 22 on highway trips.

Thank you! If I somehow missed that, I am a DUMBASS! (which is entirely likely) LOL!

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Please tell me where. There was not in my '21 (Uconnect 4) and, AFAIK, I needed to buy something like a Tazer DT for that. I have gone all through my settings in my '25 (Uconnect 5) and not seen anything for that.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Yes! I would also really like to just be able to set my side mirrors to automatically fold in whenever I turn the truck off, and, of course, fold back out when I start the truck. I shouldn't have to buy an aftermarket "programmer" thing to do that.

3.0L I6 Hurricane HO Twin Turbo Fuel Octane?

If it didn't require Premium, it would also get better mileage - a la the SST SO. So, the savings would be even bigger than that. You'd use cheaper gas AND less of it. I've had my truck for about 3 weeks and I'm due to fill up today, which will break the 100 gallon mark for me. Worth it all...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

It would be far more useful to ME if I could have my ventilated seat come on on High every time I start the truck. It comes on on Low if it's warm out. If it's not warm, then it doesn't come on at all. I wish it would either come on wherever I had it when I turned the truck on last, or let me...

3.0L I6 Hurricane HO Twin Turbo Fuel Octane?

The sticker on my Limited was $90K. I think only the Limited, Tungsten, and RHO models can even be had with the HO motor? Who pays that much for a truck and then balks at putting the fuel that is even recommended, much less required? And how much difference does it really make? Let's say you...

But.. but... pressing TWO buttons every time I start the truck is TWICE as much work!! WaaaaAAAaaaaahhhhh!!!! LOLOL!!!

Hemi returns - is it really a good deal?

Really, I think it's dumb for Stellantis to even offer a tank smaller than 33. The 33 should just be the standard tank in all their 1500s, period.

    Extended warranty

It looks like I got quoted with no credit. :) A link to the post or thread where that came from would probably have helped the OP. I posted those links a week or two ago. For my new truck, Zeigler and Granger were offering the exact same 5yr/100K MaxCare warranty and Zeigler was about $150...

Hemi returns - is it really a good deal?

It seems to me he's just stirring the pot to incite comments (i.e. traffic) on his video channel. Just because you wanted a Hemi without a 33 gallon tank and without a sport exhaust doesn't mean that those things have no value when you do receive them along with your Hemi. Counting the cost of...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I DO agree that they should make it a setting that allows you to disable it permanently. But, it's probably some EPA/DOT thing related to not allowing it to be permanently made to not meet the fuel economy numbers it was tested to produce.
