    Extended warranty

It can't hurt to check them all. When I checked Zeigler and Granger last month, Granger was $150 cheaper for my plan. https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/maxcare-zeigler-is-cheaper-than-granger.66896/ Florida has a state law that extended warranties are not allowed to be sold at a...

Question for Limited owners who purchased a Tungsten

I hate 22's on a 4x4 truck. Even if it's a Cowboy Cadillac, I still want enough tire sidewall to not rash the wheel on any old normal height curb. That is just dumb. I changed from none to Ramboxes when I got my '19 1500. I have never had a moment's regret. My truck is my daily driver and I...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

It can be easy. Or it can be really hard. It seems to mostly depend on whether you have management that is capable of identifying and hiring software developers that actually know what they're doing and then pay them what they are worth. Many management teams lack one or both of those...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

Yes, I agree that they probably *could*. But, it seems likely that using the Apple Wallet infrastructure that already exists is probably a LOT easier than rolling all that themselves. If I were writing that, I would absolutely NOT want to take responsibility for producing the code to store a...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Yes. As far as I know SPAAK is standard equipment on a Limited. He doesn't have a sig that says what truck he has and I keep failing to notice his screen name when I reply... lol! When I got mine, the dealer had a packet in a big manila envelope that had my truck's owners manual, 2 key fobs...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

That makes no sense, to me. My g/f's Mercedes is similar. We get in. She has the key fob. But, to have it automatically enable her "profile" (i.e. seat memory settings, radio presets, etc.) she has to enter a PIN. A fingerprint sensor to start and drive the car would be fine if it worked...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

I think - at least for Apple, I haven't had an Android in a while - that the Apple Wallet itself (which is where I think your digital key will be stored) has some requirement to talk to the back-end server (e.g. a Mopar server) as part of the process of storing the digital key in the wallet...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

What brand(s) of cars did that happen to? It seems pretty unlikely that that could happen on an American-made vehicle. At least, that's what I'm going to tell myself... :)

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

If your truck didn't come with the card (regardless of whether the dealer actually GAVE it to you - that is a different subject), then I think you don't have the SPAAK feature (Smartphone as a Key) anyway, so this discussion is moot for you.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

You wish the fob were smaller.... You're going to be carrying a phone anyway, aren't you? You could make the fob so small it is zero... I am carrying the credit card key in my wallet now. May as well. It's so thin. And if I do lose my key, I can use the credit card. So, it will be the same if...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

The key fob is big. Why carry it when I am GOING to have my phone anyway and it can do the same job? I have a separate keychain with 3 keys on it (house, work, mailbox), so it is small. I often leave it in the center console when I’m out and about. It would be nice to be “out” and only have...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

Those kinds of issues are also probably what has screwed the development team and why we don’t have this feature yet.

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

I suspect it’s a security thing. You don’t want just anybody to be able to plop their phone into your charging cradle and turn it into a key to your truck when you’re not looking. You have to login to the Ram app, and then it probably does something on the back end, talking to a Mopar server...

Question for Limited owners who purchased a Tungsten

I track every fill-up in Fuelly (so, all hand-calculated). I tracked 59,390 miles in my '21 EcoDiesel and averaged 21.5 over that. I had the GDE tune for most of that. I also had aftermarket 20" wheels with 33" tires for most of that, too. In my '19 with a Hemi/eTorque, I tracked 71,704 miles...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

Oh, and after seeing that message and having it immediately disappear on me, I basically disabled CarPlay. Then, once I put the phone in the wireless charger/NFC reader spot, then it displayed and stayed displayed so I could look at it and mess with it.

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

I've been getting that same notice. As soon as my Carplay connects, the Wallet message disappears, so I suspect others may be getting it but not seeing it. You really have to be watching your phone screen or it will flash up and then disappear without you ever seeing it. I think it's a bit of a...

Question for Limited owners who purchased a Tungsten

I haven't noticed any difference in ride quality. I have a little over 2K miles on it now. I have the stock 22" wheels and tires on it. I had 20" wheels with 33" AT tires on my '21. It seems a little quieter in the cab. That could be just that the motor itself is quieter. I always thought my...

    Issues with software 2025 Laramie?

I did notice one other software glitch. If I start my truck up and drive at night, the brightness of the dash is at "daytime" level. If just roll the brightness wheel down and then back up to max (but not past the "click"), then the dash brightness drops to what it should be for a "max" level...

    V-8

Yeah.... it DOES have 395 HP at its peak. That is not the issue. The issue is that it is gutless in the midrange. Tooling along at any normal road/highway speed and the motor will be turning probably 1600-2100 RPMs or so, depending. Start up any kind of even slight grade. The Hemi will have to...
