I'm not there with this new truck (yet); I really like it. I have to take it in for a Virginia inspection anyway (purchased in Maryland), so I was always going to make the trip. And, with this matter, I'm blessed to have a general idea of the issue, e.g. water pump, thermostat, gasket, etc...
Whether you think it credible or not . . . there is a rating for top tier based on the cleaning agents. Google it. I understand your point (and respect your experience) though that it might be BS. The reason I hedged by saying there might be a number of other factors involved with the rating...
Around me in Northern VA, most of the Sheetz have 88 octane that is E15 and 10 to 40 cents cheaper than 87. I have run it for years in all my vehicles that require 87 or higher. It advertises its good for all vehicles 2001 and later requiring 87. I noticed my 2025 Ram now even says E15 and...
Thanks, guys. I hope it is the thermostat leaking, as that doesn’t sound like a big deal (video says a 2 hour job), and I don’t think they are on back order anymore. The Jeeps appear to have had stuck thermostats though, not leaking ones.
Where is the thermostat located on the SST? The fluid is very clearly coming from the water pump area; it is dripping down on the AC compressor, before making its way to the frame and then ground. You can see the purple/pink residue on the compressor in these photos, along with one “active”...
Well, I might have made a mistake . . . found a small coolant puddle underneath the new truck yesterday. Haven't even made it through one tank of gas yet.
Got it on the lift, and it looks like it is coming from the water pump . . . official diagnosis still to come, but my dealer tells me the...
My first 2025 getting bought back after filing under lemon law. I already picked up its replacement, another 2025 Ram 1500. I love the trucks and figured, “what are the chances of trouble twice?”
Less than 200 miles on the new truck and I just found coolant on the garage floor. Got it up on...
Okay, this is solved. I wanted to close it here for the next person, since there seems to be very little knowledge on this on the interwebz.
1) My iPhone wasn't playing video over the passenger entertainment screen because the cable didn't work for that. I don't know if another 'USB-C to...
Every thread I’ve found on theirs seems to end abruptly with no answers.
When I plug my iPhone 16 Plus into my pax screen via a USB-C to HDMI cable, the pax screen doesn’t recognize anything is connected. Do I need a special adaptor, as opposed to just the cable? I see the goofy white...
You mean the parking sensors? I would get one that allowed them to be relocated. I don't *think* there is a way to turn off that big **** collision sensor right above the license plate.
I registered to the forum to tell my story.
Bought a 2025 1500 Big Horn in August (March 2024 build). From the moment I drove it off the lot, it gave me parking sensor warnings. Later, I started getting other electrical bugs like "crash avoidance" offline, adaptive cruise offline, the blue...
I'll admit it . . . I just like the aesthetics. Call me a ricer.
All the bars I've seen for sale only show compatibility to 2024, presumably because the 2025 has the crash avoidance radar sensor in the middle of the bumper.
Anyone tried to install one to see if the sensor picks it up and...
