$1200/mo lease payment for 60 mos

You omit huge amounts of federal deficit spending as a driver of inflation. This is why inflation continues to tick along higher than expected by the Fed, although the cause is pretty obvious to any sentient being. Oh, and to be non political, Trump did it too. As far as the truck goes, I did...

WiFi has not worked for over a year and my dealership has no answer why

I would get the window leak repaired. If there is hardware damage from the leak, I would have them repair that as well. If the WiFi doesn’t work after all that, I would leave it alone. The WiFi in the truck is 4G and most modern cell phones are 5G with the ability to be used as a hot spot so...

Anyone ACTUALLY running 5w-30 or even 10w-30? Thoughts? Experience? Any REAL TRUTH to throwing a code running higher weight oil (no conjecture please)

My reading abilities are pretty good and that's not how I read it. Keep beating that dead horse . . . .

Anyone ACTUALLY running 5w-30 or even 10w-30? Thoughts? Experience? Any REAL TRUTH to throwing a code running higher weight oil (no conjecture please)

If I am reading the 2014 manual correctly, it still says 5w20 is the preferred viscosity and that 5w30 may be used when 5w20 is not available.

Difference in gas mileage between the 3.21 and 3.92?

3.92, 5.7 etorque with the 33 gallon tank: I get about 16.5 driving around town. I drive with a light foot and drive like the 50 year old I am! On the highway, it really depends on average speed. If it is a slower local highway, it will see 21-22mpg at 50-60mph. If the average speeds are...

    transmission slip

I just drive very slowly when it is very cold and the driveline is still at air temp basically. I also turn off the auto stop start functionality until the transmission is at 100 degrees.

    Why Laramie over Big Horn?

Respectfully, asking strangers on the internet is not the way to investigate this properly. Go find both trucks and look at them and drive them for a while. See what suits your needs. Also see what suits your budget - if financing do the math on the payments. My grandfather had a saying that...

Maintenance Schedule for 2019 RAM 1500 BigHorn: Discrepancies between what the manual says and the intervals between service provided by the dealer.

Follow the owners manual. Many dealers upsell relentlessly and you wind up spending money that is not needed.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Coatings instead of liners have become standard practice. The upside is that with appropriate oil change intervals the blocks are increasingly durable and there is very little friction. The downside is that if something does happen in terms of internal damage, you are talking about sleeving...

    Fuel Range

Interesting. We have one with the smaller tank and it is higher. But we encourage the men to use a light foot.

    Fuel Range

On the standard size tank you can expect about a 350 mile range generally (assume 16mpg in local driving) and 400 or so if highway (about 20 mpg). Miles to empty is showing low because truck has probably been idling and or driven stop and go and so MPGs are artificially low.

Apologies then for posting something that attempted to give you a "no BS" viewpoint on what you are doing. Sometimes you actually need to read to learn. Good luck with your truck.

Use whatever oil you would like to use, it's your truck. But so long as your truck has sufficient oil pressure at hot idle and when driving generally, having surplus oil pressure is of no benefit to the motor. It does no harm either (unless excessive, and your figures are not excessive)...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Direct injection has been around long enough now that it falls into the category of it is what it is. It is not a risk specific to this motor, and all of the majors have plenty of experience with it. The additional risk is incremental but no worse than buying pretty much any other new vehicle...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

I wonder if you are this rude in person - another internet tough guy. Sorry to hear you have had issues with your truck. All vehicles can have issues. Mine has been almost perfect in 35k miles/.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

I agree with this completely. While I really enjoy the 5.7, the only potential downside I can see with the turbo six is the greater complexity and potential for repair. That being said, I think Stellantis has a great deal of R&D dollars and reputation on the line with this motor - they are...

    transmission slip

I cannot say that I do. The transmission is not as smooth cold as it is when warm (exceptionally smooth) but this normal. Candidly, don't make the mistake of over-thinking this. If there is an issue with the transmission, there will be an error code that displays pretty quickly. ZF has had...

    transmission slip

ZF transmissions modify shift patterns when cold to warm the engine and catalytic converters more quickly. It is part of the design. Just drive easy when it is cold. I am very careful about not doing anything extreme until the transmission temp hits at least 100 degrees.

    Leasing experience?

To HSKR’s point, when the lease was up on our ‘20, the buyout was about $12-14k less than market value. Granted market was strange due to covid but we did well on the lease and were able to take a business deduction. People’s needs and views vary. Fwiw.
