It truly was a huge mistake for me.. 8 weeks and counting for repairs to my E TORQUE .. I guess if you buy a RAM now you need to buy a Toyota PU too to use when the Ram cant be fixed
Well its been 8 weeks now waiting .. My Hemi E Torque 48V Motor Generator has been dead and still no parts available to fix it.. First they claimed it was battery, new battery installed, still dead, then claimed wasnt under warrenty, prove that a lie. Clearly states under 8 yr Emissions...
If any of you have this issue, dont let dealer bs you on warrenty.. ALL 5.7 Hemis have 8 yr Federal Emissions warrenty on all E Torque systems including the 48V battery.. The other engines do not
I love the truck.. but Stellantis can bite me.. They know this is an issue yet make no attempt at producing replacement parts? 3 months without a truck is beyond the pale
21 Hemi E Torque.. I noticed a lot of fluctuation on voltmeter awhile back.. Dealer said ..no CEL, no problem.. few weeks later, dead battery... change battery, still fluctuating occassionally, but increased over time.. now starts at 13.6 volts cold and after 20 minutes drops to 12.4 volts...
My 21 e torque hemi runs fine on 87 even towing..Tried 89 but saw 1mpg improvement..manual says 87 is fine..we have the 88 octane he's talking about but I never bothered to try it
I personally don't like the Goodyear tires that came on my 17 RAM..I drive 5 miles each way to my camp and every time I pulled one on my trailers on that limestone road, I had a flat. The limestone actually cut thru the tires!..I changed to FALKEN LT tires and never cut another tire. My 21 RAM...
I had an older RAM that had a regular occurring clunk sound..could not find it..Then I bought new tires and had an alignment..technician showed me it was a brake caliper making the noise
I doubt OEM engines designed it to keep temps at 238 degrees all day..It seems to me it was to aid in extreme cold weather .I ve seen engines running that hot lose head gasket seal pretty quickly
It handles it just fine..It It wasn't capable It wouldn't be rated for 11,800 lbs. Maybe you should have option yours differently? Next time I pick up limestone I ll snap a Pic and show the weigh ticket..it's around 17,500 to 18000 total , Ram, tandem dump and stone.usually. I use the HEAVY...
Tow too many to show pics. 3 boats ,from 3500 to 7000 lbs, 28 ft camper,20ft utv/atv trailer, 2 utility trailers, and the 7yd hyd dump trailer with 8000 lbs of limestone in it...I use all of my 11,800 lb towing capacity. HEMI ETORQUE!
Continued for a few days then went back to normal.Couple weeks later started again.Stopped by dealer, was told if no CEL, no problem. 2 days later, at 6 am, dead battery!! Guess it was a problem.
It never did this before. So you think it's normal? It drops about 50% for 5 to 10 seconds, then returns to normal with no lights or additional load on it? AND repeats in 15 seconds .without stopping.Never seen any charging system do that before. But no CEL .
