Yes it is the same inside dimensions. I did mount it the other night and make sure it is pulled back to almost touching the gate when closed. The front mount holes of the slider almost do not contact a flat surface and there is some bracing that I BARLEY missed when drilling the 1/2 inch holes.

I tried for two months ( 6 separate dealers ) to order a Longhorn in black with walnut two tone. I finally gave up and ordered black with the painted bumper option. Rumor has it there is a problem with adhesion of the walnut color. Must be a chemical issue with the paint supplier.
