I have 9300 miles on my Longhorn and NO issues. Its loaded up with everything. I absolutely love this truck. I never really bragged about a vehicle before but I cannot stop talking about how cool this truck is. I have been a GM guy for 40 years and I am so glad I gave the RAM a whirl.
Offset will not help. Those tires are nice looking but are soft composition. In the snow they are one of the best. Traction is there main draw but the wear issue has always been a problem. Keep them inflated and rotate every 3000 miles.
Longhorn 5.7 hemi, 3:21 gears. 4 corner air. First few hundred miles getting 15-16. I have 7000 miles on now and getting 18- 20 running 75-80. Mostly freeway miles. I have a topper and bedslide which means I'm always running around with 500 lbs or more extra in the bed
Here's my guess, After it is lifted it has positive camber. Some of the alignment shops will get the most adjustment out of it as possible ( Not enough )and send you down the road. That is going to wear the outside no matter what you do. Ask for a printout of the alignment specs before and after...
I have 6500 miles on my Longhorn and NO issues. Its loaded up with everything. I absolutely love this truck. I never really bragged about a vehicle before but I cannot stop talking about how cool this truck is. I have been a GM guy for 40 years and I am so glad I gave the RAM a whirl.
Nice! I will have to admit the a 20 wheel does ride better than a 22. I did not think a 2 inch difference in the side wall would matter, It does. I am going to run the stock wheels in the winter. I like your wheels and tires.
Thanks, you too. My buddy gave me a hard time about the wheels. they are almost identical to the wheels he has on his Denali. I told him that's fine, Take the best part of a GM truck ( the wheels ) and the best part of a Ram ( The truck ) and you have the best of both worlds. He didn't like...
Its funny you ask. Before I put on the wheels I thought the hooks were to much chrome with the polished wheels, so I took them off. Now the wheels are on I think they might look ok and I have been contemplating putting them back on.
I love the truck other than the stock polished wheels with painted gray inserts on a black truck. I thought that chrome wheels would look much better and so I finally pulled the pin and put on 22" OE creations PR176 and Michelin defender LTX M/S
I did take the picture with the suspension in...
Sorry to hear that, There is little to ZERO chance this can be done. The wire harness, modules, hardware, programming is not going to be cost effective. I have heard the dealers don't even want the trucks with tow mirrors because everyone wants the surround view. Hard to sell them. I hope I am...
Have someone road force balance the wheels. That should determine which wheel is out of round or a tire ply separation. I have overseen a dealer that had to go through 22 new Goodyear tires and eight different rims before we had a winner. Most likely there is some type of ply separation in the...
1400 miles on it, 321 gears and several trips to the cabin at 133 miles one way. I have had 18.4 and 18.6 most of it is interstate. I did get 16.7 one trip in the rain. The temp has been between 45 and 55.
Any engine with conventional oil should go to full synthetic. Do not go to full synthetic on a high mileage engine that has always run conventional, It may start leaking.
I was a little nervous also but, I LOVE the truck. The words I describe to my coworkers and friends is ( Very Impressive ) I bought the Laramie LongHorn in Black with painted bumper group, black and saddle interior and Loaded from there on out. NO trailer tow mirror though. I wanted the folding...
Normally change original oil at 1000 and again at 5000 and again every 5000. I always have used full synthetic ( Mobile One ) This time I dumped it at 664 and the lifter noise when cold started has gone away. Unless the engine comes with mobile one from the factory it is important to dump the...
I have had the A.R.E. Z series and they are ok. I had to order a LEER for the 19 Ram because A.R.E. is not making one yet. I got the QL100 series and it is a lot nicer than the ARE. I am very impressed with it. I had the fold down front window and slider installed on the special order in the...
