Not a fan of Gorilla Lugs/Locks. Poor finish. Locking Lugs are the same for all vehicles.
If you can find a good quality set of 20 such as Mopar, then you buy a set of locking Lugs from McGard, and you have your 6 per wheel.
I am about to start the application of Ceramic to my new 2023 Ram 1500. I will be using CarPro Cquartz as I have used it before. I did a considerable amount of research on Detailing for how I perform this. In my experience it will look incredible for 1 year, and look still look very good and...
I do open my windows. In fact, I prefer to drive with my windows down. And that is a big part of the problem. If the windows are down and I still want to use the fan, then the interior temperature is neither the Comfort set point temperature nor the outside temperature. Again, that results...
Not buying that! Yes, the map files may be too large, but not the firmware. My phone, using the same cellular connection as my truck, is able to download and install firmware updates without issues. They might need to stagger the roll-out by VIN, etc. but it should absolutely be do-able.
Apparently, this part is up to AE. That is 5 changes!!!! So if I can find an older version, AA , AB, AC, AD, which do I want to be able to use my fan without turning on the Comfort settings and disabling my start/stop?
My 2023 Ram has a recall for a software update. Instead of just pushing it to the trucks, they require a Dealer visit. In 2023 that is just ludicrous!!!!!!!!!!
They are absolutely not complementary to one another, as you correctly stated! But as you said, you are neither an Astro Physicist... or an Engineer.
It is a concept known as "trade offs", used in all design, maintenance, and life decisions. I am willing to give up MPG to have bigger tires...
I set the Comfort set point to the exact same value as the outside temperature. And I still get the "Not Ready. Cabin Cooling or Heating" because the truck has been sitting in the Sun, and the interior is much hotter than the outside temperature. If I set the Comfort temperature to my best...
Tested mine again, today. What I found is that the external temperature reading is not what is used. It seems to use cabin temperature (which has no readout) Vs. Comfort set point. If my cabin temperature (not the outside temperature) is more than a few degrees away from the comfort set...
This recall requires that the radio be updated to version T27.46 (or newer). Anybody have that version for download so that I can perform the update, myself?
Yes, your statement is correct. I have not tested it yet, but I am pretty sure that the set temp has to be much closer to the outside temperature than 12 degrees. If I am even 3-4 degrees off, then the Start/Stop does not work.
Guess this is just another example of Ram's inability to...
The maximum torque a bolt can take is a function of its size (diameter) and its rating. With this information, you can do a quick search on "bolt torque values" (or similiar) and find the maximum torque for a given size and grade of bolt. If you give me the bolt diameter, I'll look it up for...
I live in San Diego and rarely need or want to use the AC or heating. I do however, like to have the fan running to circulate some air.
However, whenever I turn on the Fan, it automatically activates the climate control system. And when the climate control system is active, it frequently...
I just looked at the Mopar Bed Step installation instructions, and it specifies 103 foot pounds (not 124), which is what I used when I installed mine. As someone else suggested, what is the size and grade of the bolt??? With that information you can do a search for the proper torque value for...
The exhaust tips on my 2023 Big Horn are 4.5" outside diameter. Are the tips mentioned above actually 5" outside diameter? I ask because some folks on eBay are selling the same tips I already have and call them 5" exhaust tips. Are the Carven or TotalFlow tips actually 5" outside diameter?
