I posted about these forever ago. This is the way to go for sure. Not sure if you mentioned it or not, but you can make them burn steady and not flash. Of course you may know that.
Can't speak for that gentleman. But I have the factory bedliner and I used the nutcerts that came with the rails. Actually I couldn't get two to work and ended up using the round ones that came with my tool from amazon.
We were talking about interior LED swap. I used no resistors. As far as the exterior I think you might depending on if the light blinks or brightens. If you search their site with your truck loaded up in the search parameters then I'm pretty sure it tells you what's required.
Do yourself a favor and check out diodedynamics.com I've been using them in my last few vehicles. No issues. They are a little more expensive. And, I'm not affiliated.
Thanks for your input. I'm going to ask the dealer if they can take care of this. I'm sure they aren't supposed to change safety features but dang this feature is kinda annoying.
Some holes in the bed are for bed lights. Some are for the bed utility rail system. And there are even more for some tie downs that come on some models. No shortage of holes to spend money for crap to stick in them.
