I was driving a 5.7 hemi since 2011. It's time for something better, actually it's long overdue. I was tired of the tired 5.7L hemi. My preference would have been to stay with a V8, but an improved and more powerful one. Since that was not an option, I jumped into a 2025 with the hurricane...
If you want to get the most compensation you could go with a lemon law lawyer. They will take a percentage of what you get but you may end up with more overall.
I doubt there are any real world MPG gains. MPG's are so important to car manufacturers, I doubt they leave any mpg's at the table that can be so easily obtained with a simple tune.
Well it was my suggestion that they should offer 6.4. Wether or not they are doesn't change my opinion. Bringing back the same 5.7L is nothing to get excited about and kind of a let down. At this point, I wouldn't even consider a new truck with the 5.7L.
I thought someone posted that they might announce soon that the 6.4 is coming to the 1500? Regardless, the 6.4 was just a suggestion on my part to bring something different to the table that might draw more interest than the same old 5.7. I just purchased my 2025 last September, so for me, I...
I typically drive my truck about 25k miles a year. So I end up keeping it long after the warranty is up. I don't trust the e-torque system to not be problematic or expensive to repair down the road. If it wasn't for that, it wouldn't bother me much. And as an example, when I was picking up...
Another thing to consider about the return of the 5.7 hemi, is that it will only be available with the e-torque system. To be honest, the e-torque system is something that kept me from buying a new truck earlier. I did not want the e-torque system in my truck. So this makes the return of the...
Like I said, I'll take what ever improvement I can get over the old 5.7. If you don't want the 6.4 option, you should write a letter to Stellantis. I'll take the 6.4 over the 5.7.
The 6.4 in a Ram is tuned more for fuel economy in a truck. At this point, I'll take any power improvement over the old 5.7 but they could easily tune the 6.4 to put out some more power, which I am all for.
They need to just put the 6.4 liter hemi option in the 1500. It would give Ram 1500 buyers an option they never had before and give everyone, including the guys that say they will never buy a 1500 without a v8, something to be excited about. Anything less than that or an all new more powerful...
I can't go back to the same old hemi that came out in 2009. I'm all for a hemi, but they need a new improved more powerful V8. The hurricane motor has been impressive so far, I can't go backwards. 😢
This happens in every car forum. In my Corvette forum some try to shame the low mileage guys for not driving their cars more often. In Jeep forums you get shamed for not driving it off road. In the pickup world, you get shamed for not hauling and towing heavy stuff. I also have a 7 passenger...
I just ordered an oil filter and will most likely be doing my 3rd oil change soon. This is for an SO not the HO, but I usually do my own oil changes mostly because I have a busy schedule and find it easier to schedule an appointment in my garage than to take a trip to the dealership and wait there.
Those terms don't bother me and I will admit my truck is a grocery getter, my Corvette is a garage queen, and my Trails Team FJ Cruiser is a mall crawler.
