Ha yeah I did. They offered to reimburse me If I had it repaired at an exhaust shop of my choice, but I just never got around to it. Basically just stopped caring about it. lol
So I have a similar noise, only happens when slowly turning into or out of inclined driveways. Causing my rear to flex a little. Like the rear half of my truck is flexing through the slow turn, seperate from my front.
It's my exhaust pipes.
My exhaust rides extremely close to a rear bump...
I'm leveled with 35"s (295/65r20 Yokohama MT's). I have 3.21 gears so my mpg isn't completely terrible. Before getting my tire size recalibrated I would be around 12 to 15mpg.
After getting tire size corrected I typically average 17.5 mpg back and forth to work. Some days i'm up in the 18's...
If it's etorque though you'll have a 48V battery set behind your backseat. The etorque is what starts the truck, unlike a normal car with a starter/solenoid. Batteries or connector getting wet could do it.
When it happens, are you in ECO mode? I have a 21 with etorque and it's smooth, only shuts off when i'm stopped for a second, etc etc.
But at times when i'm coasting to a redlight knowing it will turn green, i'll go from coasting/stopping to gas pretty quick. At times too quick for the ECO to...
Can you see the weights on the wheels? Do you have some with tons of weights? If so, they probably had a hard time balancing them and just went with it.
Are they MT tires? MT's are hard to balance.
Also, did you drive it before the alignment and after the lift was on? How did it drive then?
I've seen coil spring spacers similar to that before. Never installed any but it may be easy enough to just jack up the side, let the tire droop down, and you can pop them out. Not certain though, that's what i'd try first.
I'm honestly interested in what you think would work.
Thoughts and prayers is another way to say empathy and sympathy. It's the most any of us can do after this happens. And the most any of us can do before the next one.
I've always been nervous about Dodge/Ram but really liked the way the Ram looks this generation. Now that I have a Ram I've started to really see that the 4th gens also looked good. Been the best vehicle i've ever owned so far. Wish I went with Ram sooner.
Had a 2016 Silverado that looked nice...
I don't know what laws could be changed or created to realistically prevent this type of thing from happening. It's not possible to prevent people from getting guns if they want them. It's also not possible to ever get people to hand over their guns to the government and be OK with having no...
Well, don't pretty much all cars nowadays have cold air intakes? Just they have air boxes or more intricate flow to reduce noise. Aftermarket cold air intake is just deleting the airbox and replacing with straight intake pipe. Makes more noise but air flow should be the same.
Ok, makes sense. So low voltage on the 48V system as well then, further suggesting etorque fault. The rough ride/shuddering is interesting so i'm trying to think how bad battery/cells could cause that. Make gen/motor work harder to recharge, or gen/motor itself has an issue.
I did see a good...
I've had an S&B on a 2016 Silverado. Nice air sucking sound, made for really good behind the firewall V8 sound. I have a borla S type now so no way i'd be able to hear it when accelerating hard. Does look good though.
Hm, I have etorque(2021) and haven't experienced any issues.
The etorque serves as the alternator and generator. Alternator portion should recharge "12V" battery up front, as well as the 48V battery behind the backseat. I believe, haven't seen a wiring diagram.
To me it sounds like your...
How much rake do you have now? Mine was nearly 2.75" lower in the front, so a 2.5" leveling spacer worked for me.
I just went with the motofab 2.5" spacers. Bought on amazon for like $40, so easy to justify trying it out. Went with 295/65r20 on stock wheels, no rub at all. They measure out...
I don't think it's overboard. If anything though you'll probably want at least 37" tires to keep the proportions more balanced. 6" lift is up there but where I live it feels like a common site for trucks. Plenty of f250's with 8+ inch lift and 40"s driving around lol.
I think it's the learned transmission. If you drive wild for a week or so you'll start to notice it keeps you in gear slightly longer, getting closer to 6k rpm. Drive like "normal" and it'll give you the granny shifts. lol.
Before I put on bigger tires I could reliably get close to 6k rpm and...
