I haven't seen anything like this yet and I'm often checking the 3.0 Ecodiesel V6 section of this forum.

You can try asking there to see if anyone has insight. I'm at 52k miles on mine and its been solid so far.
Hope everyone is okay and good call on taking the truck! This is a big reason I bought a truck in the first place. My family was lucky when a ranger rover smashed into a car behind us and it went air born basically over us (Had a golf TDI with 2 kids, wife, full trunk and trailers with 2 small...
I didn't have to much towing experience prior to purchasing my ram but have been nothing but pleasantly surprised each and every time I tow. Now if I set the cruise to 70-75 then i do notice it jumps gears often but if I'm in control and don't mind occasionally slowing down or speeding up then...
Perfect! Will do. Last thing I need is to rip the paint to pieces for a simple little trip. I can’t wait! I’ll be stealing a pool noodle from the in laws ASAP as they have a pool and never use those anyway.
Had my TRX wheels installed today with a set of good year ultra terrains from discount tire. Went with stock OD 265/75/18 at the last minute. Didn’t want to spend extra $$ on spare or possible lift/level. Happy with how it turned out so far. Got 50k miles out of stock set and sent them off with...
Curios how some are mounting off road flags to the front of their vehicles. I unfortunately don’t have the off road pack so no tow hooks up front....at least at the moment. I’ll be visiting a friend who lives near the silver lake dunes in Michigan and I wanted to take the truck out on the sand...
I have the Bridgestones on mine and honestly haven't had anything good to say about them since day one. I personally didn't care to much as I drive a lot and figured I may as well just wear them down. I'm at 50k miles now on the original set and 1 of the 4 is absolutely shredded. 2 are in decent...
For sure. Before the car hauler trailer I used an Aluma A8816 which put the atvs much higher. Even though that was significantly lighter and I only put 2 Atvs on it I would get 18-19ish and once with a tailwind I got 24 but that only weighed ~2200#s. There was also a case I got 14 with the aluma...
I'm impressed yet again with this engine. Just wrapped up a nearly 900mile round trip towing ~5500#s and averaged 17.5mpg on the first half and 18.5mpg on the return home. averages are based on hand calculated and not from digital gauge. Driving relatively slow @ mostly 65-68mph. By myself in...
Yes this was on Pennzoil still. I'm running Quaker State now so we will see on the next report. This one will be significantly more highway miles and some towing. I haven't noticed any changes in power, fuel consumption or noise. All is as it was when I picked it up new. I'm almost 3k miles in...
Here is another report at 45k miles. Nearly no towing on this one, longer idles and not much pure highway driving. Seems the motor didn’t like this one to much. Higher iron content. Now that summer is around the corner and I start traveling/towing more we will see if that iron comes down on the...
I was able to order 3 from diesel filters online 2 weeks ago (4/12). Received them within a few days. Unfortunately they are out of stock at the moment. Keep an eye on them.

You can look over my reports here. Each time I do one I post it. My Aluminum was still high and for many others seems to be normal. I haven't been driving as much recently so my next change is coming up in ~2k miles @45k...
Thankfully i haven't had this issue but I had something a little different. My warning light would continue to come of for ~3 starts after I filled the tank. The gauge showed full but id get a warning that it wouldn't start after 7800miles. It sorted itself out though.
I haven't done anything to address the issue. Its surprising how little it leaks even with this visible gap. I'm still happy with it and don't plan to change anything about it. I do wish I would have gone for the matte black finish, the standard gloss reflects sunlight pretty bad in certain...
I went with the covercraft waterproof polyester seat covers and they have been great. Durable fabric and have saved my seats a few times from some gross spills and crushed food that I know I would have never gotten out of the perforated leather. They weren't the cheapest, 200-300 I think...
That’s actually very true and good point!! I’m very happy with mine and hope it stays that way. All brands have there issues if you look hard enough. I actually think so far this 3rd gen motor is pretty good. I check the diesel section of this forum daily and have been for almost 2yrs now and...
