    Let’s see your Dogs!

Shasta (8yo) has now been with us since May and has fully adjusted to her new home. She likes to play with my boxer who is also happy to have a dog that will play with him since he is a high energy dog. Kids are enjoying her too. Unfortunately, she also likes to get dirty by digging in the back...

    SOLVED - Seriously struggling with 5" -> 8.4 upgrade :-/

Another option is to go with an aftermarket radio that has idatalink, and buy the idatalink module. idatalink is a replacement for your OEM controls. Possibly less expensive that buying another OEM radio.

    Sound

If you have the base 6 speaker audio system, I think it's just for ANC (noise canceling). No 'amp' on that system, but is where the speaker wires connect for the radio.

USB and CarPlay doesn’t work when hot outside.

So pulling the fuse and replacing it will make the USB work again?

Rebel Suspension on a Big Horn

I drove a '24 BTS with the extra 1". Seemed to drive pretty nicely. It will give me an excuse to get side steps for the kids.

Rebel Suspension on a Big Horn

I have a 2023 Big Horn. Thinking of trying to find a Rebel take off suspension. I don't really want to spend the money (over $1000) for the Bilstein 6112/5160 setup. I'm not looking to level and don't plan to go larger than 33's, probably 275/60/20 or maybe Rebel take off wheels. Mostly concered...

USB and CarPlay doesn’t work when hot outside.

Yes, pretty much the same. My commute home is around 25 minutes. USB won't work on a hot day. Though if I drive maybe 10 minutes with the AC on, then stop somewhere briefly like a convenience store, when I start up the truck again it will work. Hopefully, they'll let me talk to the service...

USB and CarPlay doesn’t work when hot outside.

Agreed. Though he seemed to not even understand the problem. Rep: So the radio screen doesn't work when this happens? Me: NO! Just the USB port. Rep: So the car play won't work when connected to your phone? Me: No, I have wireless car play. Just a USB flash drive for music. Still...

USB and CarPlay doesn’t work when hot outside.

Hopefully the service tech agrees with you and is aware of the problem. The service rep seemed to never have heard of this. Reminds me of my 2012 Jeep Wrangler that had a common water pump squeak. Showed the service tech my video on Youtube with dozens of people saying it's the water pump...

USB and CarPlay doesn’t work when hot outside.

I dropped mine off at the dealer on the way home from work. Told them about the USB problem. Said they will let it sit for 3+ days before it gets assigned to a service rep. I should've just kept it and brought it back when they're ready. At least I have a spare vehicle to drive. Mine seems to...

    inner door panel removal2019

Search for 'Ram 1500 5th gen speaker replacement'. I watched a few videos when replacing my speakers. It's a bit tedious, but not really difficult. I bought the tool set on Crutchfield. Then also bought this one because some of the Crutchfield tools flex too much. It does help to have a variety...

    Driving in Neutral

I go to a drive through wash and just keep my foot on the brake. I did feel like it was moving once when I took my foot off. Though not sure if mine automatically engages the parking brake? Twice I've tried to go back to drive and just revving the engine, not realizing the parking brake got...

    Auto 4x4

Same. I'll use it in heavy rain if I start to feel it slipping a little. If the rain/snow isn't heavy enough to where you feel like you need it, then just leave it in 2WD. Though if you're not sure, 4WD Auto is fine. Also got for wet/snow mountain roads if there are lots of curves.

    Steering shake over bumps

If it shakes while going over bumps, it's likely 'bump steer'. It basically means there's not enough adjustment for height. I'm not familiar with aftermarket parts for the Ram, more familiar with Jeeps. For a Jeep it would mean you need an aftermarket drag link that allows for the height/angle...

    Keyless entry

The best way would probably be to add an aftermarket system. You could get a keyless entry system, or get an alarm with keyless entry. Not difficult to add as long as it has power locks.

    Yup, on the list

    Base 6 speaker upgrade options?

I don't have any OEM speakers left. So it's 2X Infinity 6X9 and 2 Infinity 3.5" that are 3ohm. Plus the Focal 6X9 (front) that are 4ohm. So it sounds good now, not sure if changing anything/everything else to 4ohm would make it sound better or not really make much of a difference. Plus tempted...

    The other vehicle option

51K Yup, needed a cam phaser replacement. It would make an awful sound on startup when cold. I have a video link somewhere. Definitely a good thing to happen while you still have the warranty. They have to remove the body to replace it. I told my wife that if it wasn't under warranty and...

    The other vehicle option

My wife has a blue 2019 Expedition Limited with the 3.5EB. Really no complaints, though we had to take it in for cam phasers a few months ago. Luckily under warranty. It's more of our long distance family vehicle since it has the third row seat and we have 3 boys. Keeps them from killing each...

    Base 6 speaker upgrade options?

It's as I stated on the Crutchfield page under 'Excellent power handling' https://www.crutchfield.com/p_108R307F/Infinity-Reference-REF307F.html I might consider doing Focal components later and putting the tweeter in there. Though might sound better leaving a 3.5" coax in there.
