The most obvious difference is that the Rebel bumper is lower at the ends than in the middle, and the PW bumper is higher at the ends.

In a perfect world, they would offer you an exact replacement without the problems. But since they don't have a bunch of trucks sitting around that have been driven around for x months and x miles...
I can tell you one thing--if I was almost assaulted by a dealership employee, I would almost raise hell! The guy should be almost fired at the very least, possibly almost spend some time in jail, and I would definitely make sure the dealership almost did something to compensate me.
Maybe they just don't realize how bad the roof is. They might think they can do some PDR and paint correction in a day, but I would expect the roof to take longer.
