I had 10 ply E rated Ko2 tires on my Silverado 4X4 1/2 ton pickup. I ran them at 35-40 psi with no ill effects. Maybe tires brands matter?

Lower your air pressure to 38 or so. That will make them a little softer. Just watch that the tire edges don't wear, if they do you will have to put a few more pounds of air to correct that.
