They've checked the codes that are in the system but not active and that wasn't one of them, but I'll ask next time.
Also, when I first got my truck 9 months ago, the Blind spot lights on the mirrors would stay on sporadically and then go off after a few start/stop cycles and hasn't come back...
Mine has had the crash avoidance "off" warning light come on the dash several times. Also a warning has come up saying that Automatic Emergency braking is limited functionality -- service required. Each time I cycle on and off the vehicle, the warning light goes away and automatic braking...
Try it on the far setting and see if it'll go off. Far looks further down the road for potential collisions. That's what mine is set on and it does activate.
Mine is very intermittent as well -- spoke with service manager and he suggested the same -- bring in when the code is active and they can scan it while before it cycles off.
We can all thank the CAFE standards put in place by the "we're gonna die from global warming" government officials who said "the earth would be destroyed" over 15 years ago.
That's what it's supposed to do. It's programmed that way. I'm not sure you can turn it off though. Mine deploy when I unlock and if there is no passenger, it retracts before I can close my door.
I don't know of anyone on this forum or have seen a post where the proximity feature works (Limited or Tungsten).
Correct me anyone is yours works having the feature on in the settings menu
The better question for the forum is..............does this proximity feature work for anyone with who has it turned on in the settings menu? Like I said in another post, I rented a '25 Wagoneer and this feature, which was the same in the settings menu, worked flawlessly every time I approached...
I couldn't ever image going back to the 5.7 The Hurricane is just better in so many ways. Like you said, newbies that drive both of them will probably pick the hurricane -- just my guess.
I just like power. I don't know anything about MPG gains -- don't really care. That was Riding Deacon in an earlier post about him getting good mileage after the JB4 tune in post #2078. I don't know what it was before. You would have to clarify with him for clarification.
