Folks,
I bought a zf 8hp pan for a different vehicle. I thought it'd be the same as the one in the truck. I was wrong.
LOL...yes, I measured before I did anything. The Ram ecodiesel has a deeper pan (by ~1/2") than the one I bought. Soo...
I found PPE has aluminum pans for our trucks with...
Folks,
My son's 2022 Big Horn EcoDiesel has been using coolant. Slowly...but more than my 2021 Laramie. He's got ~41k miles on his truck. If we had not topped off the reservoir tank every few months, he'd be 2-3 inches below mininum.
(He's owned it since new, with 12 miles on the odometer. No...
My dealer (the service manager) has told me that the HPFP recall requires two visits: one to see what parts are needed and the second to install said parts (once they arrive, obviously).
It seems odd. Maybe they're checking for metal in the filter???
Just a follow up after a bit more than two years of owning a Retrax cover with MFT. In fact, my son has a similar setup (MFT and Retrax) on his '22 Big Horn, so this is based on two trucks and about 4 total years of ownership between the two.
First, Retrax does NOT recommend their cover with an...
FWIW, I called my local RAM dealer to schedule my HPFP recall. (This is Z96 recall. I also need Y81, which reschedules (increases?) DEF usage.) The service department transferred me to the "Customer Relations" person. She did not answer. (Tried 5 times over 2 days.) I left a message. Supposedly...
Did your back go out as you lunged away? Paper cuts are to be feared. Cuts, painful enough as they are, can lead to infections, gangrene, and amputation. It would be natural to have an adrenaline magnified startle reflex, jump too hard, and end up with back spasms a day or two later.
You may...
I'll call my dealer soon. If they try to schedule a pre-inspection, I'll ask where it calls for that...after getting the service manager on the line. I will, of course, have him email that requirement to me. I'll tell him I want a written record of the need for me to come by the dealership twice...
That is SO much better than having to remove and replace every part of the fuel system after the original pump shreds itself and contaminates the entire fuel system.
A quick pump swap...yeah, on Monday I'll be calling my dealership to schedule mine.
Name the dealer.
Also, since this is a warranty issue and dealer/customer issue, reach out to @RamCares here. They may be able to assist. I'd be asking for a bit of courtesy since the dealership seems to be a full of a**hattery.
So, the truck won't start and that means no diagnosis so your warranty company says it's not broken enough for a rental car.
I'd contact a lawyer and try them again.
Or, try them again and ask them if a lawyer is needed to ascertain if the truck isn't working.
I got burned with a Ford vehicle that included Nav. I had to pay to have the Nav package installed, then I got hit with a yearly registration/update fee of ~$250. Lol...no thanks.
Not a single vehicle I have purchased since then has included the manufacturer's "nav package". I use my phone, on...
