I'm going to schedule a dealer appointment. It happens intermittently so maybe I can try to bring it to them when it happens so they can see it first hand.
I have a 2023 Laramie with 19k miles. I've started to notice sometimes when I plug in my phone to the USB and it wont charge. I've tried multiple different USB A and C cables in the front 4 ports under the infotainment and nothing will work.
When I plug the same cables into the USB port inside...
Mine is so intermittent I'm debating on if taking it in will just be a waste of time since it doesn't happen constantly. I'm thinking I'm going to take mine in when my schedule allows just to have them look into it. Maybe mine can be fixed with a software flash like one of the previous posters...
Yes, I took it to the dealer and mentioned it and they replaced the blinker switch and clock spring with zero hesitation. I also had my blower motor start to make a growling noise when i turned my AC on high and took it back to the dealer a second time where they put in a new fan motor assembly...
I figured I would add my experience since this thread is back at the top of the discussion. I've got a 2023 with approximately 18k miles and I'm starting to feel harsh transitions at low speed. I was reading from other posts that the E Torque trucks are programmed to put the transmission in...
For me it feels like the transition from the E torque to the gas motor is harsh. It appears when I leave slowly like creeping forward in stop and go traffic like when you are at a stop sign and you just need to move the truck one or two car lengths at a time at low speed. Watching my gear shift...
Keep me posted. I definitely do not enjoy feeling a drive train jerk when I'm trying to drive smoothly.
I hope mine doesn't get worse but currently I believe if I took it into the dealer they would tell me it's normal operation.
If it becomes predictable and reliable I'll stop in for a...
I'm not sure if I'm experiencing the same thing or not but I just rolled into 17k miles and I am experiencing a shock or harsh shift on my initial roll or from 1st to 2nd when driving casually at low speeds. If I take off with a bit more throttle everything works smoothly but when I'm in a low...
My big question is will the truck still work and function if the 48 volt battery fails. I'm assuming at some point replacement battery packs will stop being produced.
The move to the turbo 4 and 6 cylinder engines is due to mandated "emissions" standards. I don't think any of the manufacturers would have gone away from the V8 if they weren't forced.
3.92 Driver here, My around town average is also 13.5 and on the highway I never get above 18 mpg on average. If I reset the meter while I'm already at speed on the highway it might show 20 for me but the first hill I come to or and sort of slow down and speed up immediately drops me back down...
As others have stated Ram never offered a limited slip or locking front differential. This isn't something I would add on a street vehicle.
When a limited slip locks the front axle you lose the ability to steer, it will try to drive the vehicle straight regardless where the wheels are turned...
I was waiting to see if someone more knowledgeable than me would comment first.
Just my observation but it seems like the majority of failures as you described go away on their own or after the battery has been disconnected for an hour.
Otherwise I would take it to the dealership.
I'm not...
