It'll fit but you'll just need to angle it a touch. Just hauled my son's bike down to Houston with the same setup in his truck. He also let a touch of air out to "lock" the bike in. I wish I had pics but Didn't take any. I believe his Bike is a XL MARIN MTB.
I used hi temp copper silcone on header bolts for my FFR Cobra when I had it. Use it if you are concerned about the bolts backing out. Also follow BD torque procedure.
