    Screen cracked…

Well after driving home from work the sun finally came out and I noticed the corner of my screen has a crack in it! Not sure how it happened, wasn't there this morning and it didnt get hit or pushed on hard. Just a 50 mile trip. It got below freezing today was the only change. Its small and the...

    Display Theme Resetting

As far as I know FCA never did fix this on the 19 big horn. I posted my solution a few posts back and the theme has stuck for 18k miles now. You have to program the computer manually with a tazerDT or in my case I used a couple obd2 parts and jscan on an iphone. Its a great tool to have you can...

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

Hydraulic lines have a tapered side and an O ring jam nut. Loosen jam nut, tighten center nut, retighten jam nut. I use loctite hydraulic locker and have no leakage issues.

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

Thinking again about the design of the pacbrake, it has to flow better than the competitor design with in and out ports independent of the center nut. The pacbrake is really close to emulating the filter without the blocks in the way.

You just have to loosen the jam nut on the fitting to tighten the center nut.

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

One of the things I noticed about the pacbrake kit vs the other engine block adaptors, is the pacbrake kit uses the hose and 90* fitting to lock the center nut in place. Its basically impossible for the center nut to come loose with the kit installed. On the other kits the center nut is not...

Fold down rear seat mod tutorial

You would have to fabricate spring loaded locking tabs to make that work in the ram. Everything is solid and the motion of the bottom seat lifting pushes on the top part of the seat until the tabs can unlock. There is no “latch” just hard mount points and sliders. The other suggestion would be...

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

The nice thing about the remote oil filter is it makes it easy if you want to change the filter mid oil cycle. I have a neighbor who swears by that method. He runs amsoil, 6k intervals and changes the filter at 3k with a top off. All his cars have 200k+ miles and still run great. Id rather have...

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

Here is a side view of my setup. Westin pro mod bumper and skid plate. The pacbrake mounts the filter inside and above the frame rails, even using the larger filter. So its not really visable from the side other than a couple fittings, even with an off road style bumper.

Do you have any pics under your truck front bumper?

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

Im pretty sure 99% of people here are not cutting mounts off the frame. The pacbrake kit is the obvious turnkey solution.

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

@bigdodge I installed my kit with the hoses routed so they don’t hit the frame or interfere with any other parts. I have no noticeable noise or vibrations after the install.

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

There are hydraulic shops all around me that will make the lines while you wait. I have them made frequently for yacht autopilot installs. I agree they are easy to work with and the right way to do custom work by far. The cost of the pacbrake kit (besides the shiny cnc stuff) is you are paying...

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

Also if you are going full custom you would need custom length lines to fit where you decide to locate the filter. At that point you may as well piece it together as the cost of the pacbrake wont make sense if you still need custom lines made. For me and my setup I was looking for a nice turn...

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

I guess if your willing to cut pieces off your frame to fit a bumper you can figure it out. Im also sure you could piece together a kit that works and is marginally cheaper but I personally don’t have the time to research the parts necessary, where to source The parts, time to acquire/ship them...

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

None at all. Not sure where or how vibration would transmit to the body or frame with this kit since the hoses isolate it completely.

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

It would work fine if you get creative with the mounting. 😀

    Remote Mount Oil Filter

I ditched the active air dam long ago for the westin pro mod bumper, which the skid plate uses the same holes as the active air dam bolted to the front of the frame post, and the pacbrake mounts to unused holes in the rear of the same frame post. Kit should be active air dam approved as far as I...
