My dad taught me, backing up tractors and trailers around the house when I was around 12 years old, that the trailer would move in the direction the bottom of the steering wheel was rotated towards. To this day, 50+ years later, I'm reminded of this lesson every time I back up a trailer.
My dealer has me on 7500 mile intervals. Free oil changes for life, so they are welcome to it. I did do my first oil change at about 5000 miles and had them do it at about 9500 to keep me under the 10,000 mark.
