It is believed that it is done for the ANC. I just don't think the inner workings of it have been figured out. The front left dash speaker is the one used for chimes/alerts etc and the thought is that is why that one stays in phase.
In the Alpine system, ALL of the speakers except for the front left dash speaker are out of phase from the factory. I swapped the pins on the metra adapters for all of my speakers when I put them in to make sure they were all in proper phase. I don't think anybody has actually figured out why...
The dual 10 fox box allows you to access the bins as well. Does not work well with the factory slush mats though. I I plan on trimming down the slush mats so they fit around the bod instead of going under it and then it will be great.
Absolutely no reason why the kit would not still work. Other people have ran into the same issues with the quad cab and dealers saying it is a no go. The suspension setup is the same across any new model 1500 with the exception of those with air suspension. Rebels/ORP are slightly different but...
You could make it work. It would be close on depth but you could always add a spacer ring to help clear it. You will have to run an aftermarket amp regardless. The factory Alpine sub is a triple voice coil and nobody makes those. Using a different sub you will lose one channel of power (around...
There is a guy no longer on the forums but active on the Facebook group that had it done with aftermarket parts on a Rebel. It is possible, just not sure how much it cost or what all was involved. I believe he installed security, remote start, and keyless/proximity entry all at the same time.
Add the offroad package springs to the front when you do it. This adds an extra inch. Between the updated kit with the spacer and the offroad package springs it sits nearly level, within an inch.
No problem. Unfortunately there is still a lot of misinformation and confusion out in these trucks. Luckily this forum has been able to straighten a lot of it out.
The leveling kit with control arms is good for any Ram that is not air ride. Rebel or ORP trucks are both ok. It’s only the 3.5” SST kit that would be troublesome.
The subwoofer is junk. However, there is no direct replacement for the Alpine. It is a triple voice coil sub with each voice coil running off a separate channel. The closest you could get is a dual voice coil sub but you will lose a whole channel of power. About 50 watts. Other people have...
The panels aren’t that bad to remove. Start at the bottom outside corner. I just used my fingers instead of a pry tool. You gotta pull pretty hard but once the first one or two are out then the rest go easy.
Front doors in the Alpine system are bass only. No way to change it except for running them off an aftermarket amp using a full signal. It is worth it to replace them though. The stock speakers are junk and just about anything should be able to give better bass. Add some sound deadener when you...
