I feel this really should have been a complete one shop dyno tuned cam and tune install. You don't hear problems like this with Hennessey type places. Might be hard to find a shop everywhere in the country, but they are around. Might have been a real inconvenience and drive, so I understand the...
You don't need to swap out the brakes, just throw away the assembly line holding screw and put never seize on the hub face and diameter.
You wouldn't believe this, but on other forums, people argue that you must put a screw back in the rotor at every brake job, even agonizing where to get it...
Interesting. My GMC bumpstops were on the framerail, and if I remember correctly, the Ram is welded to the inside of the rail? Might be a good explanation for that problem. I've never seen it on this site, and it's drastically bigger than the other.
Timbrens are harder than the softest Sumos...
I've posted before, but as a reminder, we have both of the trucks listed in the drag race. My ORG has the Falkens, not the Duratracs. WITH STOCK TRANSMISSION TUNING, the 3.21 wins because it spends less time in reduced power torque management.
Counts Custom had a customer request the 5 speed...
Just to make the DIY people who may look into this thread aware, there is an update to the MGU to cure what sounds exactly like bad bearings - sounded like the phases getting out of sync, but I'm not an electronics guy? Anyways, mine sounded like bearings and only needed the update. One way to...
I was going to mention last time RCV axles, but still impressed with Hennessey OEM use. Is a pavement powerbrake auto trans launch as hard as a transbrake? stick trans? or mud/rock bouncing on/off traction? I think the whole 1500 truck frame and suspension mounts and aluminum front diff case may...
He's asking for your info so he can manually calculate your new tire pressure, and give you the same answer as the online Calculator.
Personally, I'm going a little lower on the rears, since I don't have the box loaded.
Maybe not quite so much "What did "I" do to my Ram today", but somebody did somethin'. It's only new once, I guess. Semi driver at fault. Gotta check the tire n wheel, and (non floater) axle flange, suspension holes. Anything else I'm missing? Keep forever, not worried about carfax. Step is good.
I built an S10 truck with a 406 and TH350 and 4.10 with 25" tire. 9mpg (rarely) commuting or pulling my boat. Before conversion, 27mpg with 2.5, stick - no OD, with the 4.10s. 10gal tank sucked for a 60 mile round trip. Yes, topped up every morning.
