It shouldnt be that hard to put the wt. info into the mfr's build app. so that folks shopping online can see capability numbers as they do a build as they do when they select an option and the total price in the summary changes. for example I would have seen that while the truck I was...
I have not had mine long enough to do any road trips without towing something but my son has '17 with 5.7 and 3.92 gears and he gets 20-21 on the highway
you will notice a big differance pulling that trailer. I traded a 2017 gmc sierra slt 4x4 ccsb 5.3 with 3.42 and 6 spd. tranny for my laramie. with 40 more hp. the 8 spd. tranny and 3.93 gears, the laramie pulls my 6000# trailer easily where the gmc had to struggle. the low 1st gear in the ram...
I picked the laramie because of the price/option level and I prefer the front end of it over the limited..looks a little less frilly to me. I think a truck should look more rugged less fancy than a car. I like the grill of both but not the headlight area of the limited. IMHO
I have the 8.4 with nav. and it works great. I always opt. for the nav. in any new vehicle I buy. I generally turn off the annoying voice before leaving the dealership and I use the nav screen as a reference when in town going to a new place and on the road. It is not rocket science to find your...
I have a detached shop/garage for mine that is 22' long but with a 9' garage door my mirrors only clear the opening by about 2" on each side so have to be careful pulling in or out.
I traded a 2017 sierra 1500 4x4 SLT ccsb with 3.42 gears and 5.3 motor for my 2019 laramie 4x4 ccsb with 5.7 and 3.92 rear end and it seems quite a bit quicker to me. I can see how the gm 6.2 might be quicker but that wouldnt be my choice of motor for how I plan to use my new truck.
I looked mine up in that chart too but when I had mine weighed it was 5960# with me (225#) and 1/2 tank of fuel..(120#) or so. Mine seems to be closer to 5600# if I back out those other wts. my 28' trailer and my previous truck
I also didnt realize the tow mirrors on mine would not power fold. I had chevys and gmc's. all had em and it just didnt occur to me to dbl. check for it. you know what they say about assuming stuff. luckily my shop garage where I park my truck has 9' wide door. I have less that 2" clearance on...
yes that is what I have. I was not interested in the ram box because I dont like the look of it with the gaping curved lid seam showing on the side of the truck. I had a 4x4 avalanche for many years and liked having the storage bins on each side of the bed but the doors for those were on top...
