the yellow sticker on mine shows 1324# cargo capacity. when I had mine weighed at cat scale it weighed 5960# with me and 1/2 tank of gas, so 7100#-5960#= 1140 left for cargo and passengers.
I'd look for something in the 5000# area because after you stow the bike and some gear you will be up near 7000# when on the road. a lot depends on your towing style. I like to set cruise at 69-70 so as not to incur as much road rage from others, so the amount of work the motor does and my...
I never noticed what gear mine gets up to but I often see about 1975 -2000 rpms so I think it gets into 8th. I even see the eco light sometimes on flat roads at 69-70 ish. my trailer is 6000#
your 1500 ram with 3.21's will struggle to pull a trailer that heavy with the additional wt. of the bike and gear. mine with the 3.92's works plenty hard pulling my 6000# travel trailer and we pack as light as we can when towing. I wanted a toy hauler to camp in and carry my harley ultra but...
I dont know how you do it. I couldnt even hook that trailer up without being over wt. my door sticker shows 1324# max cargo and with just me and some fuel I only have 1140# remaining of the 7100# the factory allows...my trailer is only around 6000# when towing and the truck works plenty hard...
I dont how you could do it. with just me and some fuel I only have 1140# cargo capacity left per the door sticker. the lightest 5th wheel I have seen has around 1050# pin wt. that means I am over before I add the wife and gear and fill the fuel tank
my travel trailer is 28' and about 6000# when towing and it is as big a load as I want to tow. 28' + the 20' of my truck make it a challenge to get in and out of plenty of gas stations so I personally would not go much longer. towing this trailer at 68-70 on mostly flat roads I get 8.5-9.5 mpg...
I put the Helwig bar on my laramie and my 20" wildpeak tires show a max of 51# so I run 45 in the rears when towing my 6000# travel trailer. seems to have less shimmy that way.
no way. keeping my laramie. just made it home towing my 6000# travel trailer from the Texas hill country to DFW with check engine light on and had no trouble. got 9.3 mpg at 70 ish pulling up and down many hills. autozone and oreilly's both said part not available so took a chance and headed home.
wireless charging for my phone. my last truck..gmc sierra had it and I assumed it was standard on new trucks nowadays. in my old truck I could just toss my android phone on the console and it would start charging..
the air coming out of mine does not seem really cold like the 2017 sierra I had but it moves a lot of air thru the seats and having air registers for the back seat area helps cool the cabin down pretty quick.
