Ran the wires into the engine bay and through the firewall. On my limited, there's a small nipple below the main wire bundle coming through the firewall. I snipped the end off of it, ran a piece of wire through, and tapped into the foot well lights. Backfilled with some RTV sealant where I cut.
Tapping into the dome light was a piece of cake. There's a yellow wire with black and one with green, if I remember correctly. One is the dome light, one is the ambient light. The hardest part was running wire through the firewall and around and down. I'm pretty pleased though. Looks real good...
Girlfriend got me some Rough Country puck lights for Christmas to go above my power steps... spent like $75 on them... way too much, in my opinion... so I went to Amazon and got some 12v LED strips for $11 and wired them up to my dome light. I'm pretty pleased. They come on when you open the...
I am selling my Vitesse throttle controller that came out of my 2019 Ram Limited. It has been used for about three months. I purchased a Pulsar and no longer need the throttle controller. It's in practically new condition and it worked very well in the truck. It's just a bit redundant with the...
Does anyone know how to remove the chrome window trim on the Ram Limited? I've seen the instructions from FCA but they only show the bottom chrome strip. Does anyone have a how-to or instruction for the entire window - front and rear? I've searched but can't find anything.
Thanks.
Hate to bump a 1+ year old thread but had an interesting experience at the tire shop today:
Changed my oil in the Ram Limited today and took it to Pep Boys to rotate the tires. This is the same place that mounted my 35s on it. I put it in Tire Jack Mode since I assumed they wouldn't know how to...
Haha my girlfriend thinks it will definitely wake the whole house up if it's parked in the garage. If it's parked outside, you'll probably be ok. The S Type sounds really good once it idles down but it's a little loud on a cold start.
Installed the Borla S Type on the truck. Now it sounds like a truck... Interestingly enough, I didn't have to cut the factory exhaust to remove it or drop the sway bar. I took off the driver side heat shield around the spare (3 10mm bolts) and it came out easily. Seems way easier than dropping...
My limited has the Off Road 2 setting but I'm not sure if that means it has the Off Road package. I like my spacers and links. I went ahead and replaced the UCAs with the Mopar ones. The ball joints have more travel in them. You can see via the pictures in this thread. I run 35s on my truck and...
Took my truck in for a rear window leak. They came back and told me the frame around the window had cracked. They said they'd never seen this before and had to send pictures off to FCA to see if they would repair it under the warranty. I'm not sure how on earth they could say it wasn't covered...
I was taking my Ram into the dealership for the third time this month (warrantied repair items) and a tiny rock hit the top of the windshield on the driver side and it cracked in two directions.... It was barely audible when it hit. I wasn't even sure what I heard was a rock or the sound of the...
So, for those that have asked, the short version on getting the screen to mirror your phone is:
Get an Android phone
Root said Android phone (google it)
Install AA_Mirror on the phone (search for the apk on github)
Install AAutoAppEnabler (https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=283691)...
Rooted an old Android phone I had and used AA Mirror to fully mirror the phone screen. Now I can use the Android Auto/CarPlay function of the Ram for Netflix, HBO, etc.
Got tires put on today. Still need to get an alignment done but the off-road shops around town are apparently killing it in the midst of corona and booked up for a few weeks out. I put a set of recapped BFG KOs on the truck... I've never dealt with a set of retread/recapped tires but some people...
I drove it for a while tonight. It still feels like the factory ride. I left the links in that 53mm range so OR2 is a stretch but I don't plan on having it in OR2 ever really. What are you running the links at now that you have the spacers?
My front is the same height on both sides currently...
I never got an "error" really. The system would just pause and cool down before going into OR2. I'm not sure if that's the same thing or not...
