Swapped out my Laramie chrome caps for Delmonico Red today. I picked up a suction cup and heated the mirror with a blow
dryer. Took my time, about 45 min overall. Just hope I got the black & black/blue wires right.
Thanks to everyone who posted tips on the mirror/caps removal.
Looks good, that's what I was originally trying to find. There was a company that made custom overlays a while back when I had my Charger and Challenger. So I used the blow dryer method instead and they came right off.
Did it myself (except for the flash) and it was really simple. Easy to follow instructions on this site. I
paid about $130 for all the parts. Most dealers around me wanted $199 for the flash, eventually found
one to do it for $125. I retrospect wish I gave that one a go myself as well.
Hard to tell exactly where it's leaking but appears to start at the corners. I just had ankle surgery and I'm in soft cast with crutches so I'm not moving around to well. I was able to snap a couple of photos. Looks like it previously leaked on the drivers side too, probably from a washing, but...
We got our first good rain here (SoCal) in more than 9 months so I decided to go take a peek in the
back of the cab..... aaaaaand it leaks. Looks like from the somewhere around the corner as the headliner
is wet there now.
I helped my wife shop for her Wrangler Unlimited. 6 months later I started looking at a Gladiator. While there I decided to check out a 1500 Laramie and take a test drive. Bought it a few days later and still love it. Wife threatens to not give it back every time she drives it. I do miss the...
Chrome insert are only standard on the Laramie, Limited and Longhorn I believe.
Plenty on here seem to prefer deleting the chrome, maybe you can find someone
to swap handles.
If you really try you can get 21-22 with the Hemi. I've done a couple of road trips to Vegas for my son's hockey, around 600-650 miles RT with lots of elevation changes, I managed to easily get 21.5 keeping at/under 75 and taking it easy for the few miles around town. But if I did 80+ and liked...
I know how you feel, I sold this one when I bought the Ram. I was worried I'd regret selling and getting the Ram but so far although I miss it a little no regrets, love my Laramie. Just had to learn to take off ramps slower and stop reaching for a shifter that isn't there lol.
Take your time. I watched the video below. I removed the visors from the truck first. Got them good and hot with
the dryer first and then started in the corner. I got them as hot as could to help with glue removal. Then used a
microfiber with rubbing alcohol being careful not to over work the...
Added a few things since my last post.
Rear Wheel Well Liners
LineX bed liner and LED Lights
Mopar Window Deflectors
Removed visor stickers
Trailer Brake Contoller and CarPlay2
Went through something similar so I just ordered all the parts ($130) and did the install install myself. It was very simple and the
post on the forum helped a bunch. It took less than an hour. I shopped around a bunch dealers for the flash and got the lowest price
from the Ram dealership in...
It's the same with my Weather Tech mats. The first couple if times I reinstalled them after cleaning I noticed it
was very easy for them to end up resting on the pedal rather than underneath it if I wasn't paying attention when
installing. I just make sure they're under the pedal now every...
