I think I used regular masking tape so it would stick better. But if you get any over spray on it it was easy to get off with a little paint thinner and a rag. I didn't wait long to unmask after I was finished spraying. IIRC I used a matt finish that matched the rims better over a flat or gloss...
Hahaha, yeah, it bothered me so much on my Challenger I had to paint them and that was even before I got the black Scat Pack rims. Bingo on the process, I also painted the edges/vanes.
Not like I wanted to make more work for you but once you see it it's hard to ignore. Before and after I painted the rotors black on my Challenger. Truck looks awesome btw.
Had a similar thing happen to my driver side rear door and my steps stick out a decent amount. They were no help.
A lot of vehicles door edges are more rounded so the bottom curves in and the middle of the door hits your door long
before the bottom hits the steps. Especially rear car doors...
I'm thinking about it, if I can muster up the patience lol. The limited cupholders wrapped should look awesome. I have the front
40/20/40 bench so not an option for me.
I removed the center stack ( followed the directions in brake controller install post ) to do the top piece but did the door
trim in place. I used the card they sent with the vinyl to push the vinyl into the gap before I trimmed it. This was my first time wrapping anything, just took my time...
After seeing mesoavery's nice work using the 3M CFS12 2080 Carbon Fiber vinyl I picked some up off Amazon and gave
it a try. I've never liked the faux wood trim in the Laramie interior and I'm really liking the new look.
Where are you located? They have four 2020 Limiteds right now with close to $8k discount plus rebates putting them
in the $51-53k range. All eco diesels. Once those rebates go up on the 2020's I'm sure you could any one of them
for under $50k.
Yeah, it was definitely timing. Jan 2020 and it was a brand new 2019 with 3 miles on it. They had it listed for $38.5k on their website. I offered $32.5k and they replied $36.5k so I replied I'd meet them in the middle at $34.5k and they said yes. To be honest I wasn't even shopping for a RAM...
Yeah, the used truck market prices in SoCal ( assuming nationwide too) have sky rocketed and inventory in general is
pretty low for new and used. I considered selling my Laramie but got such a good deal when I bought it (MSRP $50k,
paid $34.5 before TTL) I figured I couldn't replace for...
Same here. I live in a warmer climate and it never usually goes below 40-45 degrees, if that. I take it easy getting out of
the neighborhood and I'm usually up to normal operating temps by the time I hit the freeway.
Only time it's any longer is summer when I give the AC a minute or two head...
Not my Ram but when I first had my 64' Dodge D100 flat bedded home my then 15 yo daughter called it a
monstrosity. So we shortened it to Monster and it stuck. A few years later and bit of work and she now actually
likes it.
Rained here hard recently for the first time in 8 months. Went a took a look in the cab and saw my
headliner was soaked. Made an appointment and took the truck on Weds. Got it back today. They
said it was the 3rd brake light. But then said part won't be in until March. I asked what I should do...
