Starting to think the same thing. I’ve been having audio cutting in/out issues with mine, and no one (FCA, dealer, us on the forum) have been able to figure it out.
Users on the JL Wrangler forum have the same issue as I do, and one member said after deleting all paired phones and pulling the...
Just wanted to update:
A user from the JL Wrangler forum posted that his issues disappeared after unpairing all phones and then resetting fuse 97 (which is the radio fuse). His issues disappeared for 3 weeks, where when he paired his phone to the vehicle, the issues re-appeared after 2 ignition...
Quick solution has been posted before - cycling through the audio sources using the steering wheel button controls (rear of steering wheel). That should bring back audio.
@SeanGTS I've updated your thread with this information.

From what I was told by the dealer - those uConnect systems without the built-in modem have to be manually updated via USB, like that TSB from November 5th for Radio Updates and Enhancements. Those with the built-in modem are OTA only. I believe the "C" in 8.4C and 12.1C means "connected".
Not a bad idea! LOL!
I think the issue they're having for this is complete dead silence, which luckily I haven't experienced. My only issue (knock on wood!) is the audio cutting in/out. It was about -9*C this morning with about 2-3" of snow, and the issue hasn't happened. I'm at the point...
Thanks for the update @d_THRILL. I'm located in Toronto, Ontario (Canada). I only park outside, since my garage isn't large enough to fit the truck. I experience this issue nearly every other day, or almost every day, with no specific conditions to relate it to. I do want to believe it is cold...
FWIW, accessing the internal panel for the fuses is annoying. There is a plastic panel being held by 2 bolts from underneath the steering wheel column.
From all the vehicles I’ve owned, the internal fuse panel is usually accessible without any tools.
I was actually just speaking to a friend, and he mentioned the same thing. Test the battery with a multimeter during OFF, ACC and RUN ignition stages.
I just tested now, no issue. Will update again with values when the issue returns.
NO ISSUE PRESENT
OFF: 12.1
ACC: 11.9
RUN: 14.8
ISSUE...
I think there’s something wrong with the charging system. Brent just replied saying the issue returned, 18 days since having the battery charged and tested. One thing to note is that colder weather returned for him. We all know what happens to batteries in cold weather.
I’ll be hooking up a...
Thanks @d_THRILL for the update. In the Jeep forum there are two active threads for the same issue, and one of the members pointed out that after having their dealer load test and charge their battery, the issue has completely disappeared. It’s been since December 10 since they last saw the...
Just wanted to update - this theory doesn't work. I'm still receiving the audio cutting in/out issue.
I checked my HW part number and it is identical to yours. I noticed that the Application version is different as well, where mine is CANADA-IR-SBX-21.9.0-20180516-I09V
My dealer said the same...
UPDATE:
I've been troubleshooting for nearly 2 months on this, and I think I may have found a workaround. I've disabled the "Active Park Guidelines". Its been issue free for the past 3 days. I will update again if the issue returns.
This may be the work around until FCA/uConnect gets their act...
Interesting. Looks like the software and application versions are both newer than mine. I'll have to double check the Hardware Part Number to see if that matches up with mine.
Would you happen to know the build date on your truck? Any chance was your system recently updated? If so, when and by...
Which version of uConnect do you have, the 8.4 with nav or without nav?
Print out the TSB I posted above and give it to the service advisor, and see if it applies to your truck.
I'm having the issue almost every day or every other day. Completely random now, no way to duplicate. Super frustrating.
This is the route I'm going. Waiting for an official update or TSB from FCA. I'd rather deal with waiting and putting up with the random radio issues than permanent...
