Max Steel Laramie 4x4 - Leveled & Loved

I love the AFE CAI. I got it for $288 with a coupon in January. As for the pipes, nah...my wife doesn’t like a loud truck, so I’ll keep stock. Sounds great to me. The tires installed were about $1500 at Discount Tire. I would do it all again. I love it!

Max Steel Laramie 4x4 - Leveled & Loved

Honestly, the Ridge Grapplers are very quiet and the ride is almost the same too. Even though the grapplers have the more sturdy and aggressive sidewall, the slightly shorter profile of his tires sends the bumps to the wheel a bit more. The taller the sidewall, typically, the better the bump...

Max Steel Laramie 4x4 - Leveled & Loved

That’s frustrating for sure. Many dealers will go the extra mile, but others seem to stop caring the moment they know you’re on the hook. I sold both sets of Dueler tires from mine and my son’s truck for $450 per set on Craigslist in the Dallas area. I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Max Steel Laramie 4x4 - Leveled & Loved

My son has the same level kit as mine (ReadyLift 2” with Upper Control Arms) and he is running 285/55/20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2’s He love the look and feel of the truck and it’s very quiet on the road. His speedo is only .8 MPH off at 70 and the responsiveness is close to factory.

    What octane are we using?

Debates aside, 89 every time for me. It’s what’s recommended, so I’ll throw a few more pennys per gallon in my $55k trucks. If I were unable to afford it, that would be different...but it’s a minimal impact to my wallet. Heck, I have a glass of craft beer for more than it costs to cover the...

    Display Theme Resetting

I haven’t, but I’m anxiously awaiting this fix. I’m pretty sure that my 8.4 Nav downloaded an update earlier this week and reset all my memory settings, but it didn’t resolve this issue.

Does leveling kit void warranty ??!

My experience has been that there is no “voiding” of a warranty on a vehicle for any reason (that would be illegal). IF something goes wrong with a related component in the future, the burden would be on MOPAR to prove that your mod caused the issue. They typically don’t want to fight this...

    Husky X-Act Contour mats

Buy the Mopar mats. They are only $150 and they are great (in my opinion).

Nitto Ridge Grapplers v/s GY Dura tracks

Ridge Grapplers all the way! LOVE mine. Been in pretty deep mud and on ice with really good traction, low road noise and (I think) a better look.

2019+ Rams with Lifts/Levels, and/or aftermarket wheel tire setups

I went with 295/55/20 Ridge Grapplers on my leveled Laramie and LOVE the look! https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/max-steel-laramie-4x4-leveled-loved.5570/#post-104680

Readylift 2" leveling kit with or without Upper Control Arms?

I went with the 2” ReadyLift and UCAs on both of my 19 Rams and think they sit and ride perfectly. Around $900 for kit and install is what I paid. Included alignment and warranty.

Nitto Terra Grappler G2 Tire 35X12.5R22 Plus Level = horrible ride?

I went with the ReadyLift 2” level with upper control arms along with my Nitto Ridge Grapplers. The ride is super close to stock and I love it all.

Max Steel Laramie 4x4 - Leveled & Loved

I do see a little water at the back mainly because the tailgate is not sealed in the top corners. This is inherent in most all tonneau covers. I have a seal that I plan to install when I have time. I had a little leaking into the bed over the wheel wells, but that was sleeping under the plastic...

Max Steel Laramie 4x4 - Leveled & Loved

I installed myself in about 30 minutes. I had a BakFlip G2 on my 2016 Ram and loved it with the exception of the tailgate close (to keep from damaging the seal at the back of the cover, you had to open the cover, close the tailgate, then close the cover. The MX4 allows the tailgate to be...

Max Steel Laramie 4x4 - Leveled & Loved

I am OCD and compelled to get the truck just how I want it as soon as possible. I sold the tires for $450 on craigslist and put that toward the new tire purchase. They are the stock rims on both mine and my son's trucks. They are plenty wide for me. :)

    Strictly opinion, no wrong answers...

I LOVE my Max Steel Laramie with the chrome. It really brings out the depth of color to me... https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/max-steel-laramie-4x4-leveled-loved.5570/

    aFe Cold Air Intakes

I really like mine as well. I assume that the momentum would be a little quieter in the cab when at or near OT, but I don’t really even notice the sound most of the time in daily driving. It does clearly have more pep “off the line” and the highway mileage is at or better than stock. They say...

Nitto Terra grappler G2 on stock 20 inch rims

What I must keep reminding myself is that my overall average MPG is just a number. It is skewed every time I remote start my truck to warm it up, sit in the driveway to finish a call before going inside, sit In North Dallas traffic, etc. I average around 17.3 on the highway (after calculating...
