I find it a crazy coincidence that you experienced this for the first time this morning...I DID TOO! Exact same issue as you outlined above. I’ll be keeping an eye on it to see if it continues.
I agree. Bora is likely the only brand I’ll consider. My reading on the spacer materials is that aluminum is better for daily driver/low stress/high speeds where steel is better for high stress/lower speeds (think rock climbing).
This is exactly what I’m considering for my Laramies. I’m going to pull a stock wheel before ordering “just to be sure” that the indent in the back of the wheel will work without trimming lug studs. That’s a non starter for me.
Here are a couple of pics of the seal I did at the top of the tailgate. On torrential rain, I get a little water in the bed, but it’s insignificant to me. :)
Just a reminder that there is a VERY cheap and easy DIY remedy for those wanting to use it at the link below. ;)

Yes, I only applied it to the top section of the tailgate as the seal was too tight to allow for proper closure with the seal all the way down the vertical sections. It helped tremendously!
You’ll find many that have the 3.5” in this forum with no issues, so I wouldn’t think you’d have an issue with the CVs at that the 3” height, but the Upper Control Arms will be significantly extended which could lead to ball joint failure down the road. You’ll probably want to invest in either...
I personally went with the 2.5” ReadyLift with Upper Control Arms on both of my 19 Ram 4x4’s. Many are going with the 3.5”, but the concern comes in if you have an OffRoad package truck. It already takes 1” of travel from the original design configuration. If you add a 3” lift to an OR package...
CV joints operate within an optimal range of travel. Extend the travel too far and it over-stresses the structural integrity of the assembly. When in 4wd, the drivetrain is applying pressure on the joints which could potentially cause failure. With the sharp angle that his CV joints currently...
I have been VERY pleasantly surprised by the lack of road noise on my Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They ride great, look great and handle awesome. We will see how loud they get after 25k miles.
I’ve been seriously considering the same. I love my stock wheels and my Ridge Grappler tires, just want them out a bit farther. Looks like they are $210+$25 shipping at the only place I’ve found so far.
The theme in the instrument cluster only resets if I auto-start the truck. Then it reverts to the default theme 100% of the time. The 8.4 Nav screen keeps the theme setting perfectly. It’s a little thing, but I’ll be glad when they fix it. ;)
