I just received an unsolicited update from our dealer...our truck is in production. It is in the paint stage to be specific. No build sheet yet but it is being built. WooHoo!
I will be shocked if my truck arrives at the dealer in the next 10 days since I am on the west coast and don't have a build sheet yet. I am hoping to see it by the end of the first week in August to be honest.
Thanks for putting this graph together, being a retired EE I like graphs and data and...
It seems that I have always gotten an answer, one way or the other, in just a matter of hours at longest. It is a bummer that yours is dragging out so long.
Like everyone else that has yet to get their trucks I am happy for you and jealous.
Good looking truck. I must admit that all of the trucks that have been posted are good looking trucks.
I am guessing that the e-locker and 6'4" box were the hold up on my order placed on April 28.
My fingers are crossed hoping that I see a build sheet this week (nothing as of this morning). Out of all of the updates that I have requested (about every two weeks or so), one of them mentioned a...
Mine is still D1 but time is running out for '21 builds. As I understand it the assembly plant will shut down in a couple of weeks to retool for '22s. After all of this time it will be a huge bummer to have the order canceled. I have already sold both of my vehicles and the toy car ('98...
I hope that you got your truck running again...More that I hope that they figure out why it ate a battery. Not good being stranded, I know from recent personal experience. It was not my yet to be built Ram 1500 but stranded none the less.
I got the estimated build date a couple of weeks ago but since then (and before that) it has been "soon". I would be less concerned at this point if I had an operational vehicle since my toy car has gone down and parts are over a week out. I live 10 miles from town with nothing but forest between.
Thanks, I did see that list and that the e-locker was on there. I don't think that the 6'4" box was there but if it is a less popular option it may get pushed back due to lack of demand.
The funny thing is that if I was not insistent on the 6'4" box the dealer had a truck on their lot that...
This gives me hope as I ordered my Laramie on 4/28, perhaps the e-locker rear end and 6'4" box has held me up a bit.
Maybe next week. That would likely mean delivery in early August rather than July...bummer.
The correlation is not a strong one but there does seem to be a pattern of trim selection and age. Younger guys (<50 or so) seem to lean toward the black and grey models that look bad @ss and the older guys (60+) like me seem to go for less bad @ss selections. Not to leave the women out but I...
While there are some big differences, our trucks will certainly look like siblings. I also got the "chrome appearance group" and chrome running boards. My old truck had AMP power steps but I liked the look of the chrome down both sides. I like the bench seat too and have not seen a truck with...
I am really looking forward to it...I fell in love with the color when I saw it on a truck in the dealer's lot. If the truck they had in their lot had a 6'4" box and light colored interior I would have written a check right there. I only later learned that I was saving a butt load of money by...
In 2015 we purchased a new Cadillac XTS4 for my wife. We sold my 2008 Ram 1500 and Cadillac (since she no longer drives due to mild dementia) when we ordered my new truck. Now driving the 1996 Corvette as a daily driver until the new truck arrives in a month or so (I hope). Yesterday the...
