45k, zero issues. Nothing failed on my 05 cr until plasticky stuff started breaking at 250k. I've been towing a heavy boat occasionally and lots of long distance trips carrying gear and bikes at 80mph. It's quiet, comfortable and awesome.
I usually go up there on my dirt bike, was just playing in the Ram today. Them brakes got really hot running up the hill for a couple miles fighting the throttle. I did not try 4L, didn't wanna read the manual on how to make that work. I miss the old school 4L shift lever in my 84 Ram. Gotta...
Ok i searched the forum and if you want 4wd High without traction and stability control you have to hold down the traction control button for somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds until it chimes. Stupid.
This feature sucks. Today I wanted all the rpm and wheel spin i could get. I switched to 4 high and turned off the traction control. The traction control light on the dash still lit off and killed my drive on some hill climbs despite having the pedal on the floor. Also it started smelling hot...
I put some giant chrome 22s that my buddy didn't want on my 05 2500 for a while, they had metric 325 width 50 series on them, looked like a long bed skateboard. They absolutely destroyed the ride quality, steering, braking and made the truck feel a lot slower (100lbs of unsprung inertia each)...
On a borrowed Ridgeline 3 years ago. They were the LT M/S version. The vehicle understeered badly on a clover leaf onramp i regularly took Much faster in my 3/4 ton diesel with big ko/2, about put it into the guard rail. Weak sauce. I'm sure the new ones are an improvement if people like them...
We were talking Trucks until someone brought up cars. Check out the relative lap times of the FIM Enel Moto E bikes vs Moto1 or 2 times, they're fast until they have to change direction. That makes them slow in the PMOI universe, just like a Tesla. I take it you've never driven a slalom course...
I've ridden every Zero model since 2014 extensively on roads, dirt and racetrack. They do not equal the performance of ICE motorcycles. They are too heavy. Monster acceleration in a straight line is great for flatlanders but when the road gets twisty give me 150hp Miata over any Tesla. Electric...
Pirelli ATs I'm running are the highest rated for wet and dry traction, are mountain snowflake rated and actually feel good when pushed hard. Michelin defenders are OK if you drive slow/not stupid, but their hard cornering feedback is numb and their outright grip isn't that great. I might try...
I installed a Truxedo Sentry about a month ago and noticed my mileage went from the mid 17s to about 12. It could be that dragging a large aluminum jet boat around also has something to do with that.
Every dodge and ram product I've driven since the Toyota 'unintended acceleration' lawsuits has had a pedal delay. I think the first one i noticed it on was a 2012. It's super annoying but I just left foot brake and preload the gas pedal a little so there's no real off to on transition. This is...
The crew cab is pretty heavy. The quad cab is noticeably quicker. Same with the Rebel, I thought I wanted one but it was a total dog compared to my quad cab Laramie. Big wheels and tires look cool but really drag on that little 5.7, the crew cabs need a 6.2 option. I tow a 4500lb trailer a lot...
I can't find any reviews by folks with obvious bias towards how the tire functions as part of chassis dynamics. Limit grip in wet or dry? Steering feedback, sidewall feel and edge roll resistance when pushed hard? Progressive or sudden limit traction release and recovery? Reviews by people in...
I have never considered myself fussy, I don't button my top button and I frequently leave my boots untied, but.... the Ram Boxes.... I know they're super useful and all.... I just can't do that to the line of the bed. They look like cargo shorts on a grown man, which i also wear, but don't want...
I have the bar in the stiffest setting and 2" lowering/level springs on the rear, thing stays really flat around hairpins etc. One benefit i haven't seen anyone post is that it seems to really help with sway control when towing. I tow a 5k lb trailer a lot and it definitely helps keep the rear...
Catalysts? First thing I got rid of, and 02 sensors are easily fooled with a common bypass resistor. The amount of TEL in Avgas is negligible, the LL means Low Lead.
