I would love to have the big-a$$, over-sized meat's with some lift, but I don't want the road noise or the hit to the fuel mileage. So, I settled for these.
Put about 70 miles on the new Continental AT's today. The truck seems to steer much more smoothly and corners without the roll of the Goodyear Eagles. The cornering is where I notice the most improvement. If the first 70 miles is any indication of the long-haul ahead, I highly recommend these tires!
So, I wound up going with the AT's. No discernible difference in road noise, and rides as good, if not better than stock tires. And they look way better than stock as well. All is good!
Only 18k miles on my Limited with the stock '22's and they are already down to the wear-bars. Would like something a little more aggressive than the stock tires, but don't want to sacrifice too much in terms of noise and mileage. Any opinions on the Continental A/T's? Also open to other...
I tinted every window in my truck, including sun roof and windshield using ceramic. Huge difference! One thing to keep in mind, is, even though the rear windows are tinted from the factory, they provide no heat deflection - they are simply colored glass.
Did you ever figure out how to replace that glass? I took a rock to my driver side lens and not sure if it's an easy fix or I have to surrender to a body shop. Can't find any 5th gen youtube vids.
