My mom has a 2009 Aspen with the 5.7. About 300,000 miles. Original engine with no repairs or parts replacements other than spark plugs (only twice over the entire life of the engine...). Synthetic blend oil roughly every 5K. She has done basically 0 maintenance other than oil and it's still going.
Must be enabled in your Uconnect display settings. The ECO light is directly tied to MDS operation and nothing else. If MDS is active, the ECO light illuminates. If it does not, MDS is not active (assuming you have the light enabled). MDS obviously functions fine without the ECO light enabled...
Yes, only for the 6x9 door speakers, but it still works well. I ran this same frankenstein factory sub setup for awhile, but just put a 10" Rockford Fosgate powered sub under the seat which can be easily removed if I need the space.
Lane sense in these trucks is trash. It barely applies force even at the highest setting. Works noticeably better in other FCA vehicles I've owned.
That said, they should have added a constant lane centering feature by now, at least for highway use. Lane sense is damn near 10 years old.
This is probably one of the few units worth the asking price considering the features/fail safes. Marketing is a bit cringe though. And, I don't believe their claims of removing throttle lag/improving response time. The pedal input has no control over this. Without tuning something in the PCM...
The only update I am aware of was, I believe, late 2018/early 2019. It increased volume and maybe bass. There has not been any amplifier update for the HK system since.
Just a warning to guys who want to at least have the option to return speakers they don't end up liking or working well with their setup... I went to return a pair to Sonic Electronix this week and was DENIED because "power was applied" making them used and unreturnable. I'm sorry, but WHAT...
Music is stereo and generally should only be coming from directly in front of you. I don't know why you think there should be any rear fill or equally weighted sound coming from the rear, but if that's what you like, go for it. As for the rear window rattle, search here on the forums. Some of us...
I'd say that's a non-issue for a solid state amplifier based on a quick search on the matter. I've been running mine for months with the subwoofer unplugged, as do many others who do anything aftermarket.
This happened 3 days ago - didn't drive my March 2020 Limited eTorque just a few days, and was working on some speaker upgrades/testing. Had the truck in ACC for about 2 hours total and the battery went dead in the middle of listening to music through a few speakers. Read 7.8 volts on the...
Those Legatia's are a bit too rich for my blood (~$1,000 per speaker?), plus I didn't want to power them with an aftermarket amp. Only 1 day with the Hertz 700.3 ML's and so far I'm pretty pleased with them and they do just fine on the stock HK amp. May be worth trying!
If you have Harman Kardon, I would avoid tapping the factory sub wire just because the unchangeable amplifier EQ is awful. Aside from that, if you have active noise cancellation, I would advise not tapping the factory speaker wires unless you get the ANC bypass running or disconnect the...
Kicker CX 800, mostly because you have plenty of headroom to do something better/different with it in the future. CX 400 works just fine too and is cheaper, but less power if you add a real sub later. They also fit behind the rear seats (between seat and wall carpet).
Not really. If the boomy...
Did you ever get around to trying anything from Hertz? Last I saw you kept with your Legatia's, but not sure I want to venture that deep. I was thinking maybe the ML 700.3 would work decently since it's only 1 dB less efficient than the 3FE22's I'm currently using...
Take it off... otherwise you're not actually changing anything. I have seen this "fix" talked about but have not done it personally. The stock gasket does look pretty mediocre, but I have a hard time believing a longtime auto manufacturer used ineffective material for a water sealing gasket...
It does get too hot. One of the review magazines noted this too. Think these RAMs were some of the hottest ever tested. I appreciate how quickly it heats up, but man... not comfortable to hold after about 10 minutes and I have to shut it off which I also don't want to do. They were smart enough...
