I've seen this complaint on here before. Unfortunately it's not adjustable, so if you don't like it the only option is to turn it off in the Uconnect vehicle settings.

Don't think there's a bed cam option for the 1500s, just the HD trucks. The camera by the 3rd brake light is for the digital rear view camera. It's part of the Tech Group with the HUD and LED 3rd brake light.
