I am of the opinion it’s impossible to stop the leaking. I have tons of weather seals .my tailgate is so tight you can barely open it. Still leaks every time it rains.
I have the same truck specs as you do. I think your mileage will improve once you get some miles on it. The remote starts will kill your mileage if you let it run for a while.
I've been impressed with my mileage so far. Did some mileage vids for city, highway, and interstate.
Had a couple of folks ask about city driving and Interstate Driving so I did a video for each today. I continue to be pleasantly surprised with the mileage of this truck.
That’s where my holes were in the bed.....I don’t think I had any other options, but now you have me curious. Only other truck I’ve seen with them from the factory had the ram boxes and they are higher up.
These threads make me glad I have 3.21s. I get over 20 on the highway and around 17 in town. Hand calculated numbers. Over 100 miles the trip computer is off by about 2 mpg.
Nice write up! I think you'll find you are in the minority with mpgs like that. I can't imagine that's hand calc'd numbers. I've found the trip computer to be more deceiving over long distances.
Did a little mileage test today. Got a video below with some RPM data for those who may be curious about 3.21s, but overall got a little over 20 mpg hand calculated. Trip odometer was a couple of MPG off. Had a strong headwind. Otherwise, I think I could have gotten better.
The adjustable tie downs are closed and can be used as a mounting point. That's the reason I got the utility rails.
I don't have a pic, but you should be able to see them pretty clearly in this video.
Button turns on lights. Did your truck come from the factory with the lights or did you add them after the fact? Do your lights work when you hit the unlock on the keyfob?
Most I've seen are around 7-8k off MSRP depending on price. I don't think I've seen anyone get the rebel discounted to the level of the regular trucks.
