You can definitely drive away without the fob once you've started it with the dash button. I doubt that changes just from locking the doors, but it's easy enough to test. Just roll the window down, remove the fob from the vicinity, and reach in to open the door from inside to see what happens...
Welcome! '22 production was pushed back a few times and just finally started 9/14. I don't think any '22s have made it to dealer lots yet, so it wasn't sold out from underneath you. There is a big thread where '22 status is being tracked. Do you have a VIN yet? I'm sure one of the guys tracking...
Welcome! This forum is primarily for 1500s. You'll probably get more feedback on the sister site dedicated to HD trucks- https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php
There's cargo tie downs in the bed. I'm sure the LATCH straps will hook on 😄 Plus the fresh air will do them good. (kidding of course)
On a (slightly) more serious note, I know they're not 'cool' but there is a certain vehicle out there whose entire reason for being is to transport multiple...
According to the build and price site, power windows/locks also comes bundled with keyless entry, even on the most basic Tradesman Classic. I don't even see an option for one without the others.
Works fine with both fobs present. In fact, if one person jumps out with the vehicle running and a fob in their pocket it actually works out better since the person who remains in the vehicle with fob #2 won't have to listen to the incessant 'fob has left the vehicle' warnings.
The base system still uses 2 ohm door speakers (in fact they are exactly the same part number), but 8 ohm dash speakers. The front doors are only supposed to be mid/bass like the Alpine. I don't know exactly how they're crossed over, but I have the same 3-way Infinity 6x9s in the front and rear...
That sucks. I was hoping for an easy fix. Try unhooking the battery for a few minutes? Just be aware if you do that it may take a few key cycles for some items (such as backup cam, background themes, sensors, etc) to 'reload' after removing power. Totally normal.
You probably rolled/bumped the dimmer switch all the way up.
All the way up- dash full bright + dome lights on
One click down- dash full bright (even with headlights on) + dome lights work as normal w/ door open
One more click down (and lower)- dash dims with headlights on (as normal)
I just cut a 2x6 I had laying around to fit in the slots stamped in the sides of the bed. I don't have small stuff back there often so I didn't get real fancy.
I don't know if it is the same in the Ram, but in my Charger the adaptive cruise block-off popped right off and the actual switches behind were still present on the wheel. Z-Auto made replacement buttons that looked just like the OEM blank and you could then program the 3 buttons to do a variety...
The Infinity's are 3 ohm
"speaker's 3-ohm impedance combines with speaker wire impedance for a 4-ohm load"
I don't have Alpine in my truck, but I did in my Charger. I swapped to Infinity and didn't have a loss of volume at all.
As LDC already said, it's working as designed. Front doors are only mid/bass, dash speakers are highs. Rear doors are full range, roof speakers are highs.
There are several diffent threads on here (and a huge one) about various people's audio upgrades. Make sure the speakers you use are the...
