After spending much time with my sunroof, I believe you will need to remove the entire frame to change out that seal. Honestly it's not that bad to remove, but it will take some time, about 2-3 hrs depending on your skill.

I took mine through a car wash the other day and even with the crap show of an install, still no leaks.

I use mine almost every day, I love it and don't regret getting one. I came from owning convertibles, so this is the next best thing.
