Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

A look and see on GasBuddy comparing the Norwood BJs to gasoline stations in the area doesn't show the large delta stated. BJs is selling regular gas for $3.22 per gallon with area retail stations running 10 to 20 cents more per gallon.

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

Same here, in fact, the new Costco builds now have greatly expanded fuel stops. Sometimes you have to wonder how people think. They come into a Costco fuel station to save 25 cents a gallon (that is the typical delta here between Costco and street prices) with a vehicle that has a 16-gallon...

Maintenance on the power running boards

I've got two Michigan winters on my boards and no issues (yet). When I clean the vehicle, I use the power washer to clean the dirt (I live off dirt roads) from the pivot points of the boards. I've not used anything to lubricate the pivots nor have I read anything about lubricating the pivot...

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

The one reoccurring issue with EV towing I see on YouTube is they need to disconnect the trailer, recharge, and then reconnect the trailer. The charges are not laid out to support trailers. They need pull-through charging stations.

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

They have that covered, literally, in Cbty2050's post, one of the included items was a fire blanket.

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

This is interesting and sure would take away the anxiety of battery replacement/availability and costs associated, or would it? Now the concern refocuses on the replacement cells. They are going to have a tech replace bad cells with new cells meaning they will be intermixing new cells that can...

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

One more for the list, the cost of a replacement battery if the battery is still available. This issue of battery replacement makes the used EV nearly worthless after a few years or when the battery can no longer hold a reasonable charge.

WHAT THE? first time with RAM connect/Uconnect5?

Unfortunately, manufacturers bundle NAV in an option package. When I ordered my 2022 Longhorn, most of the tech I wanted (cross traffic alert, blind side monitoring, etc) was part of the Level 1 Equipment Group for a staggering amount of money. It included crap I didn't want like park-assist...

    Which fuse for ACC/FCW system?

If you are still under the warranty period, going to the dealer is the best solution. Before you go through a dealer visit hassel, have the DTC codes read which could lead to the root cause saving you a visit.

    2020 EcoDiesel 3.0 Oil Recommendations

No. I emailed Amsoil a few weeks ago asking them if they had an oil product for the Gen 3 ECODiesel. They responded quickly and said they do not.

    Upcoming UAW Strike

$500 a week before taxes becomes about $400 depending on their tax situation. That isn't going to pay the bills most have.

What Is Underneath The 2025 Ram 1500 REV Electric Pickup?

Wow, 70Gs for an electric work truck. That is too rich for me, I hope they have an audience willing to spend that amount in quantities that justify its existence.

    Upcoming UAW Strike

Is that what they get, $500 per week, or is that gross, and they have state and federal taxes deducted?

    UConnect T25.48 Update (What's New)

I'm lost trying to understand what I have to do with your rambling comment and then it dawned on me, you forgot to take your meds.

What Is Underneath The 2025 Ram 1500 REV Electric Pickup?

I'm going to guess it will come in somewhere between the Silverado and Hummer EVs, between 8 and 10 thousand pounds.

    UConnect T25.48 Update (What's New)

It isn't the technology, it is the incompetence of the folks who implement and maintain the software that drives the technology, they are the problem. They make a careless release and we pay the price. Not only is this unacceptable but it is unforgivable and displays the immaturity of their...

What Is Underneath The 2025 Ram 1500 REV Electric Pickup?

I wonder how much this beast is going to cost when it becomes available (I have a feeling it will be outside my financial reach). And second, where can I find 800-volt DC fast charging stations? The 500-mile range, if that is really an obtainable number in the wild, gives me the range I need...

    Upcoming UAW Strike

Our local news here in Detroit said the UAW has 11 weeks of strike funds built up. The 11 weeks is a number based on all UAW members getting a weekly strike check of $500.00. The UAW is holding their line at the negotiating table but I don't think they are going to win, Ford just announced the...
