That’s really not that heavy of a 5th wheel at 1500 lbs of pin weight. But you have to add that to the weight of passengers and cargo inside the truck too, what does the sticker in the door jamb say that your payload rating is?
All I know is somewhere along the way Ram turned 2500’s into 1500’s with the bigger cummins. They can pull a lot but they can’t carry squat. I had a 2001 Cummins powered 2500 with leaf springs and overloads that could carry a 2500 lb camper in the bed and tow a trailer at the same time. My 4th...

The GVWR doesn’t mean anything, it’s all about pin weight and the 2500’s are not rated to carry very much weight on top of the axle. I figured that out when I bought my 2500 and then realized that almost every in bed cab over camper was over my payload weight rating except for the...
good luck with that, I put a 3ft cheater bar on mine and couldn’t get it to move but a hair. I really feLt like that’s what’s causing it but my truck won’t do it when driving straight no matter the bump or drop, mine only does it when making a slight to mostly left hand turn, which tells me it’s...
Found this thread while looking for info on adjustments for the auto high beam. Mine are terrible, I can drive a 2 lane dark road that has lots of deer on it and with no oncoming traffic they will not turn on and stay on. Every single BS street sign no matter how close or far causes them to turn...
My 2020 Laramie ORG has this exact popping under the drivers floor when the suspension drops to lower pavement on the left side. Been doing it since April. Dealer said everything is tight and they could not duplicate it.
Well to follow up on this disaster, after 4 + months and multiple trips to the dealership I finally got my radio replaced and it’s been 5 days and it hasn’t malfunctioned once. Thank the lord!
Thanks a bunch, they could not tell me where to go to give them what they needed. All is good and everything is working now, of course after another hour on the phone speaking to people whose 1st language is not English!
For those of you that have gotten their radios replaced. Has anyone had trouble getting the Sirius xm from your previous subscription to get reprogrammed to the new radio? I’ve been fighting all day with Sirius and wasted so much of my time and they can’t seem to get this figured out. They keep...
I took mine in yesterday to get the new 12” radio installed and had them look at the clunk. I got told that they could not duplicate it and that everything is tight and right. Shocker!
Those Kanatis (never even heard of the brand) look noisey. Don’t think that just because they are LT‘s is why they are noisey. I’ve ran LT’s on every half ton I’ve ever owned and there are plenty of tires out there that are smooth and quiet, just avoid the Uber aggressive ones if you dont want...
Sorry to hear that, but now you know why I haven’t had the patience to go through what I easily predicted. Mine has been clunking for 10,000 miles! I figured that if they can’t fix an obviously broken radio how in the hell are they gonna chase an intermittent clunk in my front suspension?
There really should be a class action lawsuit on this. Having a new truck under full factory warranty that does not operate correctly and customers are told there is no fix, and we own, operate and pay for said truck for MONTHS with no repair has to qualify. I’m going on 4 months with a broken...
Please post what they find. I’ve been in the damn dealership like 6 times for the stupid radio problems which is still unresolved and haven’t had the patience to deal with the clunking.
