That's a good theory. My dealership has been around for decades but it was recently sold and I was told they had to start over as a new dealership with Stellantis. All the awards and recognition were thrown out the window. No soup for you!!! Haha!
Thanks Eighty! Perhaps it's a region thing? I don't know. He tried to order right in front of me and showed me what was restricted. A pop up box appeared with explanations. I'm throwing my arms up at this point. There's gotta be another piece to the puzzle somewhere. I've been searching for...
Another piece to the puzzle? Talked to my dealer about the omission of Blind Spot and Cross Detect from my build. Currently it can only be built on a Big Horn with the Back Country package and maybe Night Edition. It's restricted on standard Big Horns. That could explain why Eighty's recent data...
My 2019 Big Horn had it and I liked it. That's why I wanted it again on my 2022. I wonder if it's a region thing? You mentioned too much traffic where you live. Maybe my dealer isn't in a high traffic region so they are getting picky who they build for given part shortages and what not. Grasping...
Perhaps if I waited longer it would be built with it. I let my dealer know I was looking at other brands and I think it prompted a push to get it built soon. Of course this is all speculation.
I've asked eighty about multiple items my dealer was told were the reason holding up my build and eighty delivered. I used his data multiple times in our discussions. At this point, if that's all I'm losing to get this thing built then I can live with it.
Just got a call from my dealer. He told me the owner of the dealership just got off the phone with Ram and they can't build my Big Horn as ordered. They went through my order line by line and the only thing that they can't build is Blind Spot Monitoring and Cross Path Detection. Not sure why...
I wasn't offered that option so I don't know if it existed. I have a good relationship with my dealer so I think they would have offered that to me if it was an option.
I wasn't given a date by my dealer. They wanted to purchase my leased 2019 Bighorn and all they told me was if I wanted to order a new truck I needed to do it soon (early August) to make sure it gets here before my lease is up. My lease was up on December 28, but they had to purchase it 60 days...
Spoke to my dealer yesterday. I told him my patience is running out. Interest rates are going to start rising and I wanted to get my truck broken in well before I tow my camper. I don't hold him responsible, but we live in a small town and I don't think the dealership is high on Stellantis...
I ordered the 26 gal tank. Zero cost to upgrade to it. I haven't gotten a POC in a while but it was always listed on the POCs I got shortly after I ordered. Like you, I opted for the 26 over the 33 to maximize payload. Took my 2019 Bighorn and camper to the CAT scales one time and I was right at...
As far as I know at this point, Stellantis has cancelled all affiliate discounts. They did this several months ago. My dealer told me mine would be honored because I ordered my truck before the discounts went away.
Having checked this thread daily since its inception and having seen many "my dealer told me the hold up on my truck order is" , I finally got mine today from my dealer. He's telling me the Premium Lighting Group is the hold up. I told him I know there are trucks getting built with that option...
