Your towing capacity is fine. Like all 1500's it's gonna be your payload that's the problem. Looks like the max your trailer can weigh with all your cargo is 8000 lbs. So what are you gonna take with you? A rule of thumb is tongue weight should be about 13% of trailer weight for safe towing...
I don't know anything about the fog lights but if you have Daytime Running Lights and they are turned on in the setup screen then they will be on at all times I think. I turned mine off because I didn't like them on all the time because they are at full brightness from what I can tell.
I didn't say towing capacity. I meant with my trailer attached I'm very close to my payload capacity and would like to have back the weight of the electric motor and the 48v battery to give myself a little more payload cushion. I can get the Stop/Start Eliminator but I'm still carrying around...
Had my dealer install my liners. They did not reuse the back pieces so the bottom trim piece on back of the fender is not mechanically attached and kinda hangs loosely. I recently brought it to their attention and now they have to order new pieces to correct it since they threw the old pieces...
An Auto Stop Eliminator is fine but I pull a camper and I'm really close on my payload limit. I would really like to have the extra weight that eTorque adds back. Or just have Ram engineering give us back the eTorque from 2019 to 2021.
It's definitely a safety issue. Anytime you can't have total control over your vehicle its a safety issue. Two times in the same place my engine started after a stop but it didn't go into gear. I counted to six before it finally clunked into gear.
This is exactly how I feel. Had a 2019 eTorque and loved it. They were thinking they could improve their city CAFE numbers. But I have other issues that I think are related to the Stop/Start function. My biggest problem is that my transmission will not drop into gear going from P to D or P to R...
Seems to be the consensus on here that this is a new intentional engineered tweek for the 2022 models to improve their city CAFE number. I hate it. Had I known they did this I would not have gotten eTorque on my new truck. Had a 2019 and loved it.
Wouldn't it be possible for it to be programmed to shift into Neutral? I guess I'm thinking of manual transmissions. When your battery was dead you get the car rolling and pop the clutch to turn over your engine and start it.
In my mind it would engage the driveline at the same time it restarts. It's all electronic. Some people on here are complaining that there is a big jerk sometimes when the Stop/Start restarts during a slow roll. I've experienced this myself once or twice. To me, that's an abrupt engagement of...
Disabling the Stop/Start has no affect. My button works correctly. The only reason I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the Stop/Start is because the 2022 version, I'm assuming, has to disconnect the driveline for it to roll with the engine off. Then it all engages when I let off the...
Yes, I understand all that. I want my truck to act like yours when I shift from Park to Drive. Just trying to get as much info to give my dealer for service. Thanks for your help and please continue to offer any thoughts.
Just an update after playing around a bit. I have a GT so I have the console shifter as well as paddle shifters on the steering wheel. My truck drops into gear normally when I shift to Sport mode or if I turn on Tow/Haul mode. Meaning if I am in Park and shift to Reverse or Drive in normal mode...
I had Hemi eTorque on my 2019 Big Horn and loved it. That's why I wanted it on my 2022. But they seemed to have tweaked it to the point I no longer like it and wish I wouldn't have gotten it now. My simple complaint is that the Stop/Start function of the system shuts off the engine before the...
Thanks. Supposedly my dealer opened a Star case. They think its a software issue and are waiting for an update. It's just seems weird that it shifts into gear when cold, yet the transmission temp only goes up a few degrees before it stops working correctly. Seems more attributed to movement than...
Thanks. If i just get in and go the truck acts normal because it all happens so fast. It's only when I have to be slow and careful that it really becomes a problem. One of the manager's truck at my dealer acts as mine does and he finds it concerning. Hopefully he can help get a response from Ram.
