But isn’t the ram charger still using the rev platform? To make room for the engine, they made the battery smaller. Still using the electric motors and power train.

Just went over it. It will have a smaller battery and a 26 gallon gas tank. Your gonna hear the v6 engine running when charging the truck, and it will have an exhaust, which I can't imagine gonna sound that good. He said the exhaust will "rev match" what your doing with the petal...
Kinda defeating the purpose of the ev part if your just gonna put gas in it for the engine. Not really efficient in my eyes.

Don't know when the engine actually kicks in. My guess here is that you still have to charge it normally as an EV. Then at some point maybe 30-40% charge left, the engine kicks in to charge it...but not completely charge the battery.
Don't think that the engine would be designed to fully...
Correction....I'm just taking about engine in general for ram and 2025. Not just the ev side.
The pentastar engine in the ramcharger is technically just a big a$$ generator. Pretty expensive generator to be honest. Could probly go with something alot smaller.

Kinda really comes down to cost. Ram came in 2nd place one year in truck sales because it was CHEAPER than the competition.
The other thing that ram/dodge/jeep doesn't do well is their refreshes. Their refreshes are just long over due (4-5 years when ford/chevy is 3 years). And their refreshes...
Definitely not debating you.
Just saying your talking about hwy miles. If your driving 8+ hours a day. Your gonna stop more to get gas and make more stops for food, loading and unloading. That's alot more stopping and starting than you think and not just hyway miles.
Compared to a standard...
You would need to define "well maintained" because one person would change the oil every 3k miles, but someone else might run it 15k miles. With that many miles you might want to know HOW the truck was used is more important. Heavy towing can be involved and transmission service is another...
I would get the ev straight up. I have extremely low miles on all of my vehicles, and I don't travel that far.
For example...my 2016 charger...daily driver...bought custom order brand new in 2016... just cracked 28k miles. My current ram, I've driven maybe a little more, and in 2 years, I have...
Personally, any car or truck that high on miles, better plan on major repairs. Outside of a Honda or toyota, pretty much anything can go out...from engine, trans to even electronics

I think overalll…good intentions with everything they are doing. My concern is price. If the base price for the models starts in the $50k…we are in deep trouble.
I’m gonna continue to say that if pricing isn’t not better than the competition, you can pretty much kiss good buy any chance of...
Cool. Just wondering if it's even worth it to do it early in the warranty or just wait it out as long as things doesn't get worse...or effect other things.

Just out of curiosity....when they break....you can still drive and just deal with the extra sound. How long can you drive with them cracked, or missing a bolt?
At this point, it's one of those that once it cracks, I'm just gonna wait right up until the warranty expires to deal with it. If it...
I'm thinking that its possible that the lower front air dam(one that drops down at 30mphl is either removed, or sits just past it

I agree to disagree. It might be the same 5.7 motor but I'm SURE the electronics and sensors are different then what it was in the past. The newer 5.7 engine (starting roughly around 2013) with the 8 speed trans have sensors that detect the oil viscosity and will throw a code on it if you run...
Trying to figure out what I want to do security wise for my ram and ran into this thread. I have a tazer in my charger. There are pros and cons to every security system. I actually like the tazer because there are trying to fix something that dodge/ram won't.
With that said, first time they...

I know on my 2020, the Bilstein shocks helped alot with body roll. It made it more stiff around corners, and tighten up the ride a bit.
Stock shocks on these are soft in my opinion. It's different when you get into a rebel.

The problem is that not all dealers are the same when it comes to customer support. There are alot more CDJR dealers in a 30 mile area ( i counted 7 so far) then there are audi dealers in my area (2 that I know of in the same 30 mile area) so service might be more of a priority at audi...
