That’s the one I went with. It’s rated for high pressure and steam with brass construction. Still working great after 12k miles in Florida heat with a good amount of towing.
Painted it black and used OEM style hose clamps. Can’t even tell it’s there.
Based on reading hundreds, if not a thousand, posts on mileage, here’s my opinion...
If you do a lot of stop and go driving the lack of ETorque will have a negative impact, especially in cooler weather where your not using A/C so much. The stop/start can save fuel. Lesser, if any, impact on the...
The VIN lookup will be the most accurate for your specific truck, as optioned. Based on the options you have listed, you have a very heavy truck. The weight of each option reduces your remaining available payload. I believe the 1150 payload will be what shows on your payload sticker on the...
I’d be interested in anyone’s take-off active air dam if you’re looking to get rid of it. I’ll pay the shipping or pick up anywhere near central Florida. Please let me know.
Bishop,
I’ve got a similar payload (1479) and travel with the wife and a small dog. Usually about 200Lbs other cargo in the truck. We have stayed within all weight limits over a couple visits to the CAT Scales while on our journeys. See my signature for details on the truck and what we tow...
I normally run 87. But several days before towing, I top off the tank with 91 or 93 in an attempt to get the octane up. Then 89 while actually towing.
I have noticed before towing and after I’m done towing, MDS is on more often while running on the higher octane fuel than when on 87. Seems to...
I picked mine up as an Amazon Warehouse deal for under $200. Someone had bought and returned it but it was never installed. I figured it would be like new, and it was.
I run it on the stiffest setting and I can confirm the handling through turns is flatter than stock. The truck feels more...
Sold my trade in to Carvana. No hassle, no haggling and fair price. Better than I could get from the dealer by a lot. Drove to Carvana, sold the trade. Went to the bank, requested no hold on the Carvana check then went straight to the dealer to pickup my ordered truck. Really easy.
My MDS is basically on anytime I’m not accelerating. It’s very flat land here in Florida. On the highway I use cruise control and as the truck crests an overpass or hill, the ECO light will come on and stay on until the next overpass. That’s up to about 73mph.
Yes, the ECO light will indicate when MDS (cylinder deactivation) is on. If you’re not seeing the ECO light there’s a setting for enabling the light in the infotainment settings.
