Josh Edgar Designs - 2020 RAM 1500 build and adventures

Sweet! I am excited for you...lol. Still trying to figure out what I am going to do but this system high on list. I wonder if my Fabtech UCAs would work and/or if comparable with the BDS UCAs. Are the BCA UCAs sourced from Moog?

    Tuning a BDS 6-inch Fox 2.5 coil-over suspension to 5.25 inches

Thanks; I do agree with everything you said which is why the base 6-inch system was a non-starter for me too. I also have had my fair share of off-roading with Jeeps and many other vehicles (Broncos, Land Rovers, and countless full-sized trucks and SUVs of various makes) but sounds like your...

    Tuning a BDS 6-inch Fox 2.5 coil-over suspension to 5.25 inches

Thanks for taking the time to respond! I agree with you especially when considering a stock truck with a built in and significant rake. However, with mine already lifted with an almost level stance, the issue is now the front cab with the GPS shock fin at rear of the cab that sticks up another...

What did you do to your Ram today???

No, mine is non-eTorque. I had read that thread too when searching for answers; very interesting read on the voltage fluctuation issues but non-much on the actual dead battery issue. Also read somewhere that a dead battery can be due to a bad USB module any other such issue. Just doesn't make...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Good clarification; I was referring to the battery voltage drop!

    Tuning a BDS 6-inch Fox 2.5 coil-over suspension to 5.25 inches

Okay, this may seem like a weird thing to do but going to ask the suspension gurus here for their input. Sorry for the long thread! First, I am currently running a 2020 Ram Rebel 4x4 crew cab with only 6600 miles on the odometer. It is currently setup with the Fabtech 3-inch UCA lift with Dirt...

What did you do to your Ram today???

I just got my truck back from the dealer last night after dropping it off to check out the issue. Actually, I had (3) issues. Anyway, the dealer said they scanned the truck and could not find any error codes (I didn't think they would after the check engine light intermittently came on and off...

    Desert Dawg Ram Rebel Build

Well heck, if you're ever in the neighborhood, let me know because I always keep a stock of cold beer in my shop fridge! I am like you for sure as one of my favorite things to do is sit around with some guys talking about our cars over beers and/or whiskey...lol. I have a friend down the street...

    Desert Dawg Ram Rebel Build

As reported several weeks ago, an impromptu desert romp left me with a little but costly bit of damage! But since I put the poll out there to see what folks thought about powder coating the front silver bumper mold (aka faux skid plate) black, I decided to follow up with the overwhelming...

Josh Edgar Designs - 2020 RAM 1500 build and adventures

Welcome to the forum and great job on the build so far! Will be interesting to see what your final decision on a lift will be seeing you actually take the truck off road!

    Desert Dawg Ram Rebel Build

Yes, highly recommended on the sliders considering how many rock outcroppings/slopes we had to tackle. I am probably not going to change out my power steps (the steel faux sliders did their job as while I managed to split one open when I dropped and slid over some rock, the power steps still...

    Desert Dawg Ram Rebel Build

Engineer Pass Took the Rebel over Engineer Pass during the 4th of July weekend. I had not been over the pass since the early 80s when I used to work at a silver mine near Ouray, CO. Back then, I had a lifted full-sized Chevy Blazer (short wheel base 2 door) with 35s and no issues. Now I am...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Took the Ram up over Engineer Pass, Elevation 12,800 ft. It was a gnarly ride starting from the very bottom. Experienced at lot of boulders and some surprisingly difficult rock outcroppings that had to overcome. The Rebel with its 3-inch Dirt Logic suspension did really well for the most part...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Just a shoutout to @StraightArrow again to say thank you for the offer to help out! I was able to get the service jumpstart to work so drove up and bought a new battery at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Montrose. I still have not installed the battery as everything eventually went back to normal after...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Thanks! I had to wait a bit but finally got some service out of Montrose. Got the truck started again with all sorts of engine lights. Was able to get all cleared except the check engine light. Drove to Montrose and picked up a new battery for insurance. Restarted the truck a couple times with...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Thanks StraighArrow....that's awesome of you to offer some help! I am waiting on FCA Roadside Assistance to come try and give me a jump. If it does, I may drive up to Ridgeway as they have a battery there that I can purchase so I don't have to worry about being stuck again and/or on the way...
